I broke a LOT of my own bad habits as I continued to heal. The reward is we finally get to feel healthy again. It’s SO very much worth it, compared to the immediate reward of the habit.
Alcohol is so powerful. I have a friend who is way overweight and getting worse and has pretty bad arthritis but won’t take the meds they want him on because he couldn’t drink anymore.
I’ve had my issues with it in the past as well but I knew I needed to change and I did. Haven’t touched a drop in 7-8 years now and never felt better.
Ill get there. Im not good at quitting anything cold turkey. But…im slowly getting there. Fat loss, less alcohol, better foods, more water, better sleep. I had so many things happen in a short perjod of time in my life. And i developed lots of bad habbits in that time unfortunately. Even thoufg i knew better
Awesome for you
Doubling your trt after such great results is BANANAS!!! Id be concerned with the low estrogen after adding TRT??? Also, have you had your AR-CAG length tested??? Hows your androgen receptor density? Id be looking at everything else BUT MY TRT at this point. Also, hows the rest of your panel look???
Man thanks. Ive enjoyed the physical progress. Im fine with hard work. Its the mental game thats kilking me still. Just lack of energy and focus throughout the day. Not just in the gym. I will hear the dr out. I had no cluebwhat adding 50 or 100 woukd do. Ibwas just thinking wrong i guess i didnt realize leveks would continue to climb. I was thinking well…if 100mg tokk me from 75 to 356. 100 more would be perfect! Thats why i said “double”. But someone one here said that number would continue to climb without upping it
Negative. Not if you’ve been on it for three months. However adding Test is not a linear response so maybe go another 20-25% for now. Retest thereafter in 6-8 weeks.
Some thoughts outside of the box.
I would suggest hcg as an add on if your Dr will not bump your dose. 100mg per week is barely replacement as you have to consider the ester weight of the injection. Hcg also tends to bump up your e2 along with test levels.
Ask them to test your dhea and pregnenolone levels.
Can i add my two pence in.
Reading through this thread what jumps out to me is you’re overly focused on numbers. I feel like you don’t feel at your best and laying the blame 100% on your test results. I don’t know whether its because you want an easy fix/magic potion that will make you feel 18 again.
At the end of the day you’re 41, perhaps a change in mindset could help more. I’d imagine you have a much busier more stressful life than you did when you was younger, plus years of wear and tear plus neglect to your body.
Perhaps focus on getting enough rest, taking some time out to enjoy the little things, cleaning up the diet a little further.
I may be miles off the mark but personally while you’re fixated on 1 thing and not willing to look at any other ideas i don’t see things getting better (the mind is a strong thing and will believe what you tell it)
I also think @s.gentz and @T3hPwnisher have offered you great advice and you should folllow it regarding the trt
I think you summed this up perfectly.
Sort of what i thought as well. I go back next Thursday to go over everything. I did get a letter in the mail since we last spoke that stated “your testosterone is within normal range now, however it is still in the low normal. I would like to see you in the next week or 2” just for future reference…what is optimal for SHBG while on trt?
Not sure why all these notifications are just showing up sorry im late to reply. Yes i love all the advise ive gotten. Im not really hung up on the numbers. Im hung up on feeling like crap. And…it seems the numbers reflect that feeling. If i didnt feel like crap id have no idea what those numbers even were because i wouldnt have went to the dr in the first place. But now that i have those results…yes i wanna fix them. I 110% know i need to continue fixing other things in my life. Im honestly trying hard and have been for 1.5 years with little to no results. Which…was part of the reason i went to the dr. Since starting trt my blood pressure is better, glucose is lower, and obviously my free and total have increased. And yes…i definitely feel better than where i started but inwas damn near at high female levels. Still definitely not feeling “good”. Honestly with levels going up…and feeling “better” I thought upping the dose made sense. While normal… im still low normal. Jealousy kicks in when i talk to guys a lot older that arebin the 600-800 range and say they feel great. And they arent even in the gym. Im on the other hand way younger with way lower levels and im ready for a nap by noon, and turning down sex because “its past 9pm and i won’t wake up in the morning for work”. I ran a cycle or 2 of 500mg a few years ago with a little npp and mast. I know ill never feel like that unless i run a cycle. Thats not what I’m shooting for. I just wanna feel better. Hopefully time aling with continuing to clean up my diet will be the cure. Or maybe…the dr says “you need to up it”. Im not going to push it, but im also not going to argue if thats what the dr suggests. Thanks for all yalls help.
You can’t control this aspect although a lot of times it lowers on T. 20-upper 30s is ideal.
