I’ve seen some seriously odd pieces in the news lately, but this one really takes the cake. Curious to me is the artists’s original intention with such a ‘statement’, and what he honestly thought the reaction was going to be once people saw his take on such an iconic character.
His explanation about simply desiring to depict a “natural physical phenomenon” makes me think that some artists are just attention seeking nuts -lol.

He was lying. The kid was just trying to troll everyone from the beginning.
Also, that is not how it looks when you get a boner in spandex… Just sayin.

Indeed. I think most of the really creative and technically excellent artists of today are swept up into advertising (as were most of the good French impressionist initially) or videogames and the like.
What is left of professional “artists” are no-talent attention seekers who have to drop Bibles into pee or do things like this.

I don’t blame the artist. He was commissioned to install an artwork that would commemorate the importance of large, national elections.[/quote]
People make the R vs L joke here in Taiwan and it doesn’t work here either because Mandarin?cantonese speakers don’t usually make that mistake.
I’ve heard it a couple of times but not much.
