That makes me wonder how they got so popular. If they are more uncomfortable than the red Slingshots then I will probably hate them.
What about the Lillibridge wraps? In that old thread you said they were like the Phantoms with smoother material.

@Reed are you talking about the SBD wraps? Just curious.
The new pioneer lillibridge warps I havent used but they feel nice just grabbing them. When that threas was post mark bell was still making the lillibridge wraps. The Phantoms literally feel like tree bark.
Pioneer makes the phantoms. Never have used the SBD wraps.
I ordered some SBDs the other day, not going to try them until after the meet though. I will let you know what I think of them when they arrive. Right now I’m thinking of doing another meet at the end of July.
I’m surprised the inzer grippers got bad feedback. I guess I’m a raw lifter who doesn’t know any better haha.
They are pretty weak, plus the rubber on the inside makes them extra uncomfortable. They are alright if you are just starting out in wraps but you should eventually move onto something stronger.
For anyone who cares to know, my SBDs arrived today. Most people seem to be familiar with the red Slingshots so I will compare them to those.
So the SBDs are noticeably thicker, denser, and stiffer. They have a similar amount of stretch but the elastic is way stronger, like a night and day difference. Also, they have a softer outside finish, not smooth but something almost like a towel-type material, slightly fuzzy. I tried wrapping my knees just to see how it goes, despite the fact that they have quite a bit of stretch I only got 6 revolutions (probably could have fought for 7) because the elastic is so fucking strong. With Slingshots I can get 8, Sig Golds I can get 7. Also, they don’t have that same pinchy type of feeling as the Slingshots but they definitely give a solid cast feel. Just standing in them, they are maybe a little less comfortable than my Sig Golds but not drastically, although they weren’t at max tightness either.
I look forward to trying these out but it will have to wait after the meet, I have one last quick session in wraps before the meet and I don’t want to fuck myself up at the last moment. I get the feeling they will have a ton of rebound.
Good call. Yeah I’ll probably use my EliteFTS Heavys in September
Interesting, I thought that Phantoms are some of the best wraps. What wraps would you recommend for wide stance, slow squat. I like wraps that give a lot of stopping power (My best right now is 660lbs)
With out a doubt in my mind there are only two I’d recommend with a squatter like you. Mind you I squat the same wide, slow, want a ton of stopping power.
Elitefts Heavies the best wrap hands down on the market for the price. Now with that being said the only other wrap that beats it is the Inzer Black Beauties. how ever you go from a $30 wrap to a $120 dollar wrap. The Black Beauties in my opinion in performance are identical to the Super Heavies. But, they have the softest suede like material ever on the ouf side of the wrap. You can literally wear them as cranked as you want and they still make love to your knees. Not $90 more love at least not to me but if you can splurge you will not regret them.
Inzer Grippers are next to useless for raw lifters in my opinion
Just to clarify for @yahimx - you mean super heavies, right?
That sounds just like the material on the SBDs.
The funny thing with this, there are some guys like Shawn Doyle using Grippers, or what at least appears to be grippers. I don’t know about him, but there are some other guys who are sponsored by Inzer and you see them talking about double grippers and 4x4’s, Inzer was selling an extra thick version of the Grippers for a while but for some reason now it’s only their sponsored guys who have them. Don’t ask me what the hell 4x4’s are, but they exist.
So you might see whichever lifter and say “hey, he’s using Grippers, they can’t be that bad”. Guess what, those aren’t the same Grippers that the rest of us can buy.
Those double ply grippers are insane. I couldn’t imagine actually squatting with them lol
Why, just too thick or what?
Inzer seems like a weird company, zero customer service, make people wait forever for their stuff, and they have products that they don’t even sell to the general public. I don’t understand.
They will sell them if you call them an special order. They will literally pretty much custom make anything you want. But yes they are literally two pairs of inzer grippers laid on top of each other and then sewn together. That’s literally what they are lol. When you roll them up each wrap is no lie over a foot wide just storing them is stupid lol. You know it’s over kill when the SPF doesn’t allow them to be used lol.
Yeah, that does sounds ridiculous. I thought they were just a thicker version, not double ply.
What are these 4x4 wraps I hear about now and then? Are they the ones in this video, looking like Grippers but white on the inside?

Just a fun fact, super heavies are currently on sale and cost less than $20. Go buy now.
The shipping to Canada is more than the price of a set of wraps so if I’m going to buy something I might as well buy a couple things at least. I see you use Kraits, I hear those are good too. Would you recommend those for a raw squatter or what? Anything else worth getting since it’s so cheap right now?
I think I’m about to have enough wraps to last a lifetime.
Kraits are great for raw guys as well as geared guys. Medium to wide stance. It’s got plenty of stretch so you can really crank them down.
I just ordered a ton of stuff myself, Tees are like $9 right now.
