Yellow is kinda cool. i think PB Andy’s gym is pretty yellow, too. I went to a powerlifting gym in NZ once when I was visiting and it was all red. Very nice.

Lexi- I like Yellow as a color, I am not sure what any of these machines do
more I am confused by the ratio of chest machines to the rest of the gym

This weekend was busy- weekend house stuffs

lots of laundry
Lots of cooking for the week
baby food , dog food, people foods- the dog is 15 so we make her some geriactric foods

went to the local county fair-
little man got to pet

beef cows
dairy cows, sheep, goats, ponies, pigs, baby deer and a tiny baby pig.

OOOOH I used the bumper plates on an Ivanko bar

Bumpers somehow feel lighter or move thru the air better
and I used them to pull- cause I am not using the hex plates to pull.

425 dbl felt great- 455 not so much.
Cleans after pulling light as a feather.
Rows after pulling heavy as a triplewhopper on a hot day.

what else- it all needs work.

there are alot of big dudes at this gym-
and I dont think anyone of them has ever deadlifted
that means I need to get on that hammerstrenf shit.

425x2 hook grip. Impressive!

apparently if you load 'em up for deadlifts it makes deadlifting a little bit easier. you kind of lift them off the ground 2 at a time instead of the bar not budging until ALL the tiny little plates decide to move. or so i’ve heard.

Strong pulling. Haven’t really used bumpers before but they sound very cool.

The 425 dbl hook left me for dead, but I think I can pull on hook grip,

Actually they are a little taller then conventional plates so it night be a shorter pull
When I say they move through the air bet term ita the collars, spinning more freely

Dday bumpers are fun make dropping weights or just catching weights bearable

What else worked 12 hours yestrday to make 18 mins of programming.

Z-presses felt good the albino tore these up the other day - so Tony
inspired me to put some weight on the bar
pullups- been doing triples at +45 for a while , maybe I can start to push for 5’s

incline Db presses felt super hard

noticed on db’s rows my back and grip started to fail.

overall ok- I am still scared of all those hammer strength machines
I did notice that db’s go to 130 maybe 140.

That looks like a session I could enjoy.

Speaking of hammer strength machines, I remember working my neck on their 4-way neck machine. For whatever reason, was thinking of trying neck bridge exercises one day, couldn’t support my weight even, let alone move around. HammerZ are totally useless for functional (there, I said it!) strength. Gets you swole, but that’s about the size of it.

I will try to pimp out some viz soon
will figure out when- I am working thru the weekend and then the next 5 days after.

PG thanks- I have never used a machine for any neck work - unless it was some contraption
at a chiro or PT office.

Plenty of neck bridges, with weight, and plenty of neck harness work.
I cant do either now so I have a normal sized neck now somewhere between 17 and 18"

I have some crazy soreness in the obliques from those OH presses.
