KM'c Black Irish Bastid 3.0

Nice weighted pullups bro…enjoy da 4th.

happy fireworks day and shit

DOOOOOOD!

You have a wickedly cool job. Maybe you find it routine, but it geeks me out.

And I liked your story. I sucks that it was hard on you. Life sometimes deals us a plateful of buffalo chips. You did good with it.

Matty- thanks now I need to get the reps up.

MJ same to you , hope you had a good 4th.

CanuckK thanks anything worth doing is hard It was a good time- taught me the value of work.

thanks for looking.

Im gonna be picking your brain about front squats soon, beware I may get annoying, my hand placement may be incorrect. Did you get caught in that rain on Sunday? I was driving to PA on sunday it was pouring like Florida rainstorms.

Matty- It poured out there Sat and Sun- like you could not see 5 feet in front of you.
we stayed in the house all day- only running out to grill.

Little man and the house guests where pissed.

ask away- my form is ok- I just do them allot.

Nice looking dead…I wouldn’t worry about getting too low? Looks like you got a pretty good high hip style type of pull IMO.[/quote]

I’m a bit late to the party on this one but I agree with this. A lot of it depends on your body mechanics. I was told for a long time that I had to get lower. When someone finally suggested that I set up higher; high enough that my knees weren’t over the bar, the weight started flying up.

That’s nice work with the hook grip on 315. You must have some strong hands there.

Hi O_b_s

I think my evolution with lifting form is slower , cause I am doing it by myself.

the legacy of Judo and wrestling left me with a great grip
I can hook 405 for a couple reps.

thinking i might switch entirely to hook grip mixed grip seems to aggravate my elbows

Interesting I always feel more comfortable and stronger with a higher setup, when set too low my body mechanics (as ourboro stated) get all out of whack and I have trouble recruiting the necessary muscles at the same time.

kmc, it sure sounds like you’ve busted your ass for every good thing you have today. My respect for never giving in to the easy way.

I gotta say, I love food network. I hate to cook, but love watching others make food!

I hate to cook too, but watching food shows gets my appetite up.

So you’re like the kung fu grip puppet?

Matty- its true bodies work best when efficient, just have to find the grooves

Kimbakimba thankyou, some of the shit that coaches taught me has stuck

Cav thanks working there is kind of cool- lot of nice people all passionate about the same thing.

O_b-s Kung Fu Grip Puppet FTW

I think one look at my hands or forearms kind of tells the story

pendlays heavy as hell today
decent amount of volume.

thanks for reading.

I want to write a little more on work and shit later on.

I was going to write this later - but I will do it now

I never had heart to heart with my coaches , they could give a shit.

They knew how to handle me or just did not want to waste any time with me
until I started to do the work.

then I realized that was my key-
to get them to help me was to do the work.

in retrospect the best lesson. why waste time on any athlete talented or not
or relationship or work or what ever where no one puts in the effort.

at work - someone whom I respect said they needed to speak to me-
about something .

what he told me was that if you are the best, in your room, your group, office
your job site or what ever, you need to act like it.

That as the best your actions need to be the example of how to conduct yourself.

I think about that everyday.

Being Impeccable at all I do.

recently this is important as my business has changed-
no longer am I doing high rolling shows with endless budgets.
or great perks the big shoots are all like dinosaurs.

Rates have gone down- and work winding down enough that I am seriously
looking for other avenues of employment.

the task at hand - you just have to be the best at that task.

I’ll catch up on everyone later on

good job muscling through your training when already beat. I have to do the same in a few hours.

nice post

I love to cook, as well as eat.

I am also a food network junkie.

Nice - the recipe for success no matter what you do

Yes sir! Strive to do your best every day.

14 hour day…FACK!

Excellent words, its something I will keep in back in my head as well…true speak, it also ties in having pride in whatever you do whether it is coaching, pushing paper, flipping burgers you can find honor in anything but you first have to have that I want to be the best attitude.

that’s nice, that.

it is good for me, too. i’ve been feeling a bit torn about my training. when i do one thing i worry that i should be expending that energy on something else. but really, the thing to do, is just to focus everything on what i am doing.

needed part time work to see me through. same goes for that. it isn’t something that there is a future for me in. but still, i do it the best i can and i guess i do actually get some pleasure and pride in that. that i am doing it as best i can. i mean really. what other way is there to be?

i mean one can just go through the motions. but i really don’t want to be one of them.
