Economies of scale, my friend. Economies of scale.[/quote]

Worth every single penny. If you are serious about competing, either in MMA, boxing, or grappling, then dont waste your money on any mouthguard that isnt custom fitted for your mouth. Boil n bite just doesnt cut it.

A good mouthguard is one of the single most important pieces of gear you can pick up. I use the Gladiator Elite model. It is light, fits perfect and offers outstanding protection. I am 100% satisfied.

Shock Doctor Gel Max is the best I have used (never had a custom made one)

It is so much better than even the slightly cheaper Shock Doc one.

I can breathe naturally, never feels like it will fall out. Only thing I can’t do is speak clearly.

It does really depend though, only thing you can do is shop around till you find something you like.

i am using the Mouth-guards of "Night Guard Company. Its really in affordable price & work for a long year… You must try it too. For more details please visit http://www.night-guard.co.uk

I use a Shock Dr., never had any problems with it (and never been KO’d, but I doubt the two are connected). It’s their higher-end one though, the power gel ultra I think it’s called.

PS: Their jock with carbon fiber cup is the shiznit.

I’ve gotten my guards from a dentist for Jiu Jitsu and the first and 8th time it’s saved me, I realise it was money well spent. Even looking at my current guard and seeing all the nicks and dents confirms it

The money for dental guards is generally like business guards, once you have your impression the guards themselves should be plenty cheap. I think (you may want to confirm) that you can keep an impression for 5-10 years (I have mine) and that’ll be fine.

In any case I think mine cost abotu $250 for the first one here… which is pricey, but the alternatives here (Australia) were all crap.
