The real question is why do people feel the need to “talk shit” period? Does it really make people feel tougher, or superior to others? The real tragedy concerning that whole thread is that those three guys could all be training partners and help push each other to achieve their goals. Instead they waste their energy insulting each other and trying to bring each other down.
Sad really, when you think about it.[/quote]
What really catches me about this whole ordeal is that while net-antagonizers complain that they’re “cowards” for not “doing something about it in person” (etc, etc), if they actually did get into a fight, how many people do you think would call them idiots for fighting over shit talked on an internet forum?
Lets say someone actually got injured or filed assault charges… what will they say to the police… “Officer, he said all this stuff on T-Nation! Testosterone Nation, sir!”
I’m not on either side, I just think its interesting that one camp is cheering them on and accusing them of cowardice, while another would be calling them boneheads who deserve to be banned from the gym.
But, hell, maybe seeing each other gets them both pissed off enough to train harder. Thats really the only good I could see coming out of this.

I think the general idea is that they live within close proximity of one another and could have settled things face to face. If fighting isn’t their sport of choice then a dozen other venues could have been chosen. Like the suggested dip-off, a general lift competition, or a race to see who can lift X number of pounds.
hahaha yeah I remember that thread. I offered to sit in as a judge in a “dip off” competition between them because they work out about 40 mins from where I live.
I was only going to count the reps where they’re hands actually touched their armpits. When I say full range, I mean full range bitch.
