Levrone could take a year off from acting and come back and win the O, imo. The lineup’s exciting but competition’s not as stiff as in the late 90’s.

Are you exaggerating? Is it possible for him to actually gain 100 pounds of muscle in less then a year? I know he has muscle memory and genetics and his work ethic + his ‘supps’(im not putting down roids im just saying what he has to take to get back to his HOOOGE size). But i don’t think he can gain that much in a year he looks like he as at 190lbs give or take 10lbs. He would need to gain abotu 100lbs in a year i can see 50lbs but 100 thats crazy.

He is currently in better shape than that vid. He has been doing ads for supplements in some of the mags lately at his new lighter weight and he is in great shape.

It would be a strain to gain that much in one year, but yes, I do believe it is possible for him if he felt like throwing down several pounds of beef every two hours for months on end.

Comfortable? No.

Possible? For him, yeah.
Now this is why when i see the post on T-Nation were people say they gained 50lbs of LBM in a year or 2 is why i call bullshit if \a guy like Kevin Levrone can gain 50lbs of mass in a year and some random poster on T-Nation says that, they either have been working out way longer or are exaggerating their numbers /endrant

Do you have a link to any current pictures of him?
Why not do like the rest of us and actually buy the mags?

I don’t know, if I were interested in a topic I would do what it took to know as much as I could about it.

I guess many here don’t think the same.

I guess it will sink in years from now as to this being WHY so few of you actually know much about this activity or the people involved.

That isn’t just an attack you either. I am just tired of so many of you asking to be shown something…instead of going out and finding it yourselves.

You don’t become leaders that way.

What?

The majority of the people making claims like that were drastically UNDERweight in the first place. If some guy who is 6’1" gains 50lbs in a year…but they started at 120lbs, do you really see that as the same as someone going from relatively big to even bigger?

If you don’t want to post a picture, fine. I’m not going to spend my money on magazines that are over half filled with bs supplement ads and a quarter filled with misleading crap about the pro’s. Are you honestly trying to say that the reason why so many people on this site aren’t big is because they don’t buy the magazines…

I miss the old Kevin Levrone. =(

That man was a legend.

No, I am saying the reason so many of you are clueless about who these people are, how they train or several other facts…to the point that the fact that Levrone dieted down several years ago is now NEWS AT 11 as if it just happened…is because they don’t even put any energy into finding this info.

You all either want everything handed to you or it is too much hassle, like you and what you wrote about not spending the money on a mag.

Well gee, I did spend the money and you want the info with no work on your part…yet you don’t get the point?

Don’t worry…there is an entire generation just like that so it’s not just you. The Instant Internet Lazy Fuckers gen.

I searched for current pictures and didn’t find anything. I admittedly didn’t spend a lot of time looking for it, I was just looking to see if anyone had a pic of his current state since you mentioned it. Not really a big deal.

No, your specific question just now is not a big deal. However, the fact that this thread exists and the principal behind what I am discussing IS a big deal.

A thread like this on this board would be like posting a thread entitled, “Flex Wheeler loses a Kidney!!”.

It is why there is so much confusion about how these guys train or the lifestyle in general.

Truth be told, if there was even a basic One Cent one time charge on the info on this site, there would probably be 90% less of you posting.

That isn’t passion and without that, your progress will be limited from the start.

FYI. there are a few bbers who diet UP to a show, not too common, but its not just Levrone. At least one of them claims to be natural - anyway ,ore than drugs, its about their body type and how they switch their training close to competition compared to off season.
LUEshi wrote:
In any case, Levrone was famous for gaining weight DURING precontest prep. Very few guys can do that successfully even with a boatload of drugs.

Are you really asking who to believe? If they have no pictures posted on this site at all, why would you believe what they say about gains made?

It is not impossible to gain 50lbs of body weight in one year. How much of that is muscle is the question. A rank beginner could make a gain like that with much of it being lean tissue if they have the genetics for it and actually ate enough to grow.

Why are you more worried about what other people are claiming than what you are actually achieving in the gym?

Nathan Jones already has this market wrapped up…

I mean, seriously, he’s every big dude in every movie!

It’s not the same, that guy wouldn’t make a good Wolverine. Levrone’s arms look (to me) like a marvel character’s arms. Then again, I have no idea if Levrone can act. I kinda doubt that he could play Wolverine as convincingly as Jackman.

I watched some interview with Kevin few month ago for some now movie he was in and he looked nice and big. So I think now he just gets a big or scrawny as it’s needed for the part he is playing.
bicepenvy wrote:
So much for bb’ing being a lifestyle, guess your organs can’t take chemicals forever.
To me bb’ing as a lifestyle is something that was pushed in the 50’s and 60’s. It was about living an active lifestyle and emphasizing health and well being.

Those days are long gone. Even the serious “recreational” bodybuilders do not follow this philosophy. Its not rare to hear of young aspiring bodybuilders force feeding themselves and restricting out of gym activities (to spare calories) to gain as much size as possible.

I’m not knocking this approach because it’s clearly the fastest way to gain as much muscle as possible, but it’s not the “fun in the sun” philosophy that was once promoted.
