Keeping Your T Levels Low

I take weekly injections of depot. I always make sure to not take my shoots two weeks before going to the doc. to ensure I stay low…

I have a few doc that I go to get this from. anyways. This time the doc can’t understand why for two years my levels remain low at that dosage. 200mg two weeks. So now he is going to have me come in an get the shot and test weekly for six weeks. He thinks either I’m not giving my shot right or my body isn’t absorbing it right.

My question is. How do I make sure my t-levels remain low after getting the shot. Any tricks?

Do you need your T-levels to be low for him to keep you on? I always thought HRT was an ‘on for life’ kind of thing. Were you gunning for a higher weekly dose?

Yes I was gunning for a higher dosage.

Little sleep, high stress. Overtrain. Get sick. Eat poorly. Less sleep. Drink Heavily. Very heavily. Couple other things I can’t think about right now.

Just do everything ass backwards. Pot might help too.

Honestly i don’t think that’s going to do anything.

If you’re on HRT then test isn’t coming from your own body so there’s not much you can do to mess with it.

All the above suggestions work to minimize test PRODUCTION which won’t help here as you’re not producing any you’re getting stabbed. . .

It sounds to me like you got busted. He’s probably being polite with the “maybe you’re doing it wrong” thing.

You could try wearing a fake ass to the office visits.

LOL

Ever consider procuring some extra gear through other sources to supplement your prescription, or would this be too expensive?

Before you go to see the doc, don’t take your shots. This should do the trick.

My gosh, I’m retarded. I have not been sleeping well the past 3 weeks and it’s catching up to me. Only other advice I can offer is what’s been said. Booze, lack of sleep, and stress will kill you levels. Best of luck, and yes I am retarded.

Thanks, I guess what I’ll do is get the shots and see were my levels are. Actually this was a small quanity that I was getting. Normally would only prescribe enough for 1 year and see me the following year. I have other places to get the gear. But the almost free and legal way of getting the stuff is far better than on the street. I’ll try some of the tricks first to see how they work.

To throw a bit of humor onto here:
It’s often been said that the “Softer Side” thread is a real testosterone killer!

Again, it will only hurt your production. Since he’s not producing any it won’t do a damn thing. . . it’s not like the needle cares whether you slept well last night.

But on a serious note: What these guys are saying is most likely true. Since you are receiving your hormone from an external input your body has no need to produce testosterone on its own; it’s the bodys way of mainting homeostasis.

But here’s some basic stuff.

  1. GNRH is “fired” in a pulsatile fashion; that’s why you have morning wood (high T-levels are induced by deep sleep).

  2. Dietary deficincies in zinc and magnesium will lower Testosterone production.

  3. Alcohol (especially chronically) suppresses testosterone production even though it temporarily raises LH output.

  4. Resistance exercise will temporarily raise Test levels.

  5. Endurance training will lower testosterone levels. The reason for this are not quite known but some guess it’s something to do the receptors becoming more efficient.

  6. I can’t cite this but I think adequate fat intake is linked to higher testosterone levels.

  7. Slilghtly elevating estrogen levels will result in lower testosterone levels being that estrogen starts off as testosterone but is then aromatized; or atleast this should be correct in the negative feedback loop systeM (please correct me if I’m wrong).

It’s up to you what you wish to extrapolate from this.
