Keep the damn kids off the lawn

Grreat work Pete, I bet you do get some “holy-fuck” type comments in a commercial gym. I am thinking I need to lose a few belt notches after next week as well, but I am really not looking forward to doing that.

first thing a.m. 30 minutes elliptical

Pete,

I like to think that if 525 lbs was on my back and the building was on fire I could muster the strength to get it off me. lets hope that situation never arises. You are an eerily strong person, nice work. Quick question about shirts, Rage-X, Katana, or the Viking one? or something else entirely, your input would be appreciated.

Brian,
thanks, never been called eerily strong. Woman have said I give them the creeps though.

regarding shirts, the RageX is probably a good standard. Katana’s, had one on once and probably won’t ever again. They work great for some people, but most people I see just get hung up in them, unable to touch because the shirt is that jacked. Viking is good, or just the standard Metal pro. Of course I do pretty well with my 2 ply Titan Fury.

Squatting in the mono is the only humane way to squat. [/quote]

Watched a meet a few weeks ago with a mono. Never seen one in person before. Amazingly, a good percentage of lifters still walked the weight back. Probably just habit. I could see huge benefits to a mono since I struggle with walkouts, even with my teeny tiny weights.

Pete,

TY for the info

Snapper, time to come to the true dark side, squat out of a mono in four plys of gear.

No problem Brian. Saw you purchased a TRex. Good man. Powerpants are useless though.

Then I’d have to compete against women with giant adam’s apples and more hair on their face than I have on my head. Plus, I’m gunning for one of those pretty pink squat suits. Doubt they’re available in quad ply.

Snapper, little persnickety there? admittedly, most the gals I know compete in the AAPF, get all the glory of mono and multiply w/o the facial hair and adam’s apples.

Uh oh.

what fun is chic’s without adams apples , huge jaws, and strange voices

I mean nice work pete.

Training for anything specific these days? Any meets?

Steve,
Main priority right now is being less fat while keeping strength up. Really need to break that 700 dead soon. And feel healthy. And like I can move when I need to. Hence cardio and conditioning being high, and higher volume in training. I also don’t want exhausted after my openers next time I do a meet.

Trying to keep a balance between lifting, family, and long work hours right now.

That being said I just might do a meet RAWWW in about 2 months, if things are going the way I want. If not it will be March, then probably equipped. Maybe even both:)

If I do the RAW one it will be almost a game day decision.

pulldowns wide, 5-6 sets, worked up to 305 x 10
