DF, I am a constant work in progress as well. If I don’t have other people coaching/giving commands bad habits surface quickly.
It is all mental with the commands. Get your friends to spot you as best they can.

Awesome night.
Squat, big kids box, no pad, against average bands: 145 x 3, 235 x 3, add briefs, 325 x 3, 415 x 3, 465 x 3, 505 x 2. Called it short because bad knee was feeling funny. Wanted to jump up in weight but conferred with someone smarter: I am not squatting in the meet, no need to chance injury, and I still needed to pull. Anyway, happy with the way that felt.
Pulls against 200lbs in chains: 225 x 2, 315 x 2, 405 x 2, 495 x 2, 585 x 2 (10lb and 1 rep PR), 605 x 1.5 just ran out of gas, last meal of chicken and rice was a long time ago.
leg raise 3 x 10
rev hyper 3 x 10, felt shakey and weired, was time to head home for Jersey Shore, food, and a cocktail.
So are you going to do push/pull?
DF, yes, doing this one push/pull.

backward drags
135lb x 40yrd x 4

Looking weak. Only 200 lbs of chains + 605…come on man. My nana could do that.

Never had over 800 at the top end of a pull before. I belive my face turned many funny colors in the process.
After that pull my training partner/gym owner who accuses me of having stubby TRex arms every bench day (when I out bench him), made a comment about my ‘fuggen monkey arms.’ ‘Wait, how can I have TRex arms on bench day and monkey arms on deadlift day.’ Didn’t get a satisfactory answer.
There was a film crew in the gym last night. The meet director is doing extra promo for this meet because it is a benefit for a friend of ours, who is in his second battle with cancer in a year. I think I might turn into a video whore like Meat, knowing I was on camera put some extra fuel in the tank. As soon as I figure out what they do with the footage I will post a link here.

805 pulling the shoulders out of the sockets could turn trex arms into monkey arms. Nothing wrong with being a video whore. Actually looking forward to watching. (not in a perverted way)
Shouldn’t the title of this thread be “TRex Bencher, Gorilla Puller”?
That would make it so much easier to understand.

this morning I got up bright and early, dug through my closet, and found my short arms. put them on and headed out to bench
raw 140 x 10 230 x 6 320 x 3 3board 410 x 3
shirt on (fitting like a friggen tshirt) 3board/2board 500 x 2, 2board/1board 590 x 2 1/2 board 660 x miss fire, 1/2 board 660 x 1, PR!!!
raw, pinky on ring 370 x 6 PR I think
shoulder press 135 x 10, 225 x 10, 275 x 7
then went and watched a training partner attempt 660 at the state USAPL meet. it was a miss, he shoulda had it, but nerves got the best of him
then went out for wings and beers with a 1/2 dozen training partners. rare occurrence, i was the smallest guy at the table.

Congrats on the PR

Tricep death: pick a weight, and pick 5 levels of boards. I punish myself for having little Trex arms by going 0-4, most people go 1-5. Grip bar with a close-ish grip, i.e. ring finger on ring, and starting at lowest level (for me full range) bang out 5 reps, partner then add in one board, 5 more reps, 2 board 5 more reps, etc until 25 reps have been completed. If you fail, you rack the weight, count to five and then finish reps. Your arms will feel very special after this. [/quote]
One of my Favorites!!!
bent rows up to 315 x 12
chins 5 x 6
shrugs 5 x 15 w/405
v grip pulldowns 5 x 10
preacher curls 5 x 10
elliptical 25 minutes

I never thought of that. I always pick the long ones.
Great job on the PR! Stupid silly numbers you post.
And don’t you just have one kid who is still young enough to be leashed? That will save the lawn.
Snapper, in the last week I have been accused of having stubby TRex arms on bench day and long gorilla arms on DL day, by the same person. So I must have at least two pairs.
I like my stupid silly numbers, just want them to be stupider and sillier.
Kids are 21, 4.5, and nearly 8 months.
I did tricep hell twice today. That was absolutely brutal.

that’s both retarded and impressive at the same time
