Nice one thanks very much for that, it’s much appreciated. Been eating at 3800-4000 mark so it’s going to suck pretty hard if I drop down that low but I feel like the challenge. Main thing I worry about is going to bed hungry lol
I’d stair step it down. Do 2500 for a week 2200 for a week 1800 for a week. Your body is used to more calories so you’ll drop regardless. I always add unsweetened vanilla almond milk, sugar free pudding mix and pb2 powdered peanut butter to my evening shake and blend it with stevia and ice. I have that right before bed and it is pretty satisfying. Did it everyday of my prep.
Getting organised, been at 2000 for 3 days now and not feeling overly hungry just yet, I’m sure when back at work it will kick in!

I saw a post using this setup for simulating the car deadlift. Grabbing the front/back of the hex and standing up/back.
That sounds pretty cool, a lot of my weight is in 10kgs so not sure I could fit enough weight on the bar for lower reps but would be great for high reps as a finisher. Going to give that a try.
How’s the cut coming along? Usually goes pretty fast at the start for me and then slows way down.
Good thanks, rather unbelievably the scale has dropped by 9lb! Visually it’s pretty obvious that its 7 or so lb of water, glycogen and food/poo and then maybe a couple lb of actual fat.
Looking a little leaner (not expecting miricales in such a short time) waist is much smaller without all the excess food.
Very sore from my training sessions, but have just switch to dogg cramp, not the best choice whilst cutting but its pushing me to beat my numbers each session and sparked some training excitement.
I think I’m bringing the cut to an end now, lost 10lbs scale weight but I’m sure that will jump back up when I increase carbs and food consumption in general.
I’ve really enjoyed doing this mini cut and feel it’s done me a world of good physically and mentally. I feel refreshed and ready to eat to grow again.
I’ve had an quality months training and actually feel like I’ve built muscle despite the deficit, clothes feel tighter up top and on my legs which on a cut is very strange. My protein consumption has been higher than normal which is something I’m going to try and stick to.
Let’s grow.
Time to grow again, will miss this small waist when the carbs get back up.

Yes mate, before the cut I set some numbers on my exercises, then aimed to beat them whilst cutting. It helped me push hard whilst not really feeling full of energy, gave me a bit more focus.
Now my cals are creeping back up I will keep running it and hopefully my lifts will fly up. Going to try and keep my protein higher but might not hit the amount recommended by dante.
