I’d rather listen to Zeppelin with the vocals removed than Kayne. I might even take just Bonham’s drums isolated haha. I don’t dislike Kayne’s music. Just that the instrumental parts of Zep were fantastic. They didn’t need much meaning to their lyrics. Plant had a great voice. He could make it seem as if lyrical depth was there.

Agree on all counts. I was just making the point that good music can have shitty lyrics. I love Zeppelin. A lot of really good bands have some terrible/dumb lyrics (cough Metallica cough cough) but it’s only one aspect of the music as a whole. Far too often we fall into the “back in my day our music was better,” without actually analyzing why we think that.
Got the chance to see her 2 years ago. She opened for Willie Nelson, who I don’t like. My wife and I watched Krause perform and left. Lol. She has the voice of an angel and sounds exactly the same live. Id listen to her sing the ingredients off a shampoo bottle.

Eh, I disagree. There’s a lot of great songs with dumb lyrics. Ever listen to the Blue Album? But, all art is subjective so everyone has their own taste.

Mainstream rationale: Let’s document this respected musical artist at his worst because it gets clicks and views! They’re literally expediting the downfall of his legacy and it’s a sad situation.
