Well, you know all of those classy and respectful white heavy metal performers just fill up the airwaves making the distinction so easy.
Oh god, when was the last time a white heavy metal performer rushed the stage and took over a teenage black girls acceptance speech at any music awards show, and said a white girl that was up for the award deserved it more? Come on man, if you want to get racial with it at least put it in perspective.

Wait, who got racial? Some of you have your heads glued up your asses. You only speak against those who speak against racist comments. Hilarious.

Hyperbole is foreign to you. My guess is intellect is equally unknown.

I don’t think you guys get it. This is all marketing. People already think he is nutz. Why not feed the hype like he does. Everyone is now talking about him. He is on everyones minds. Is he rude. Fuck yeah. Is he out of touch. Doubt it. He knows exactly what he is doing. And if you think for one sec he doesn’t you need to wise up and buy a brain. Cause really all I see is a young nerdy Bill Cosby that does half ass hip hop / pop music.

Best. Post. Anyone who can’t see this might as well stamp “puppet” on their forehead.

Controversy breeds celebrity. People who never even knew who he was now know. He is talented at making music and beats. He is not the greatest rapper by far and his lyrics, while better than some, are nowhere near the top in my mind. However, to claim he isn’t talented is complete bullshit.

The entertainment industry only puts you on a pedestal so the public can knock you off. The higher you are, the greater the fall. Everyone already thinks he’s nuts…which means he has no other hoops to jump through other than making record sales.

I personally think it’s fucking brilliant.

Then you’re an idiot. No one thinks he’s nuts. They think he’s a douchebag. No shit he knows what he’s doing. No one here needs ya’ll to point that out out, in fact someone else pointed that out in an earlier post. He’s not some Andy Kauffman-esque genius who’s playing a role. The guy’s truly a jerkoff, and has to resort to petty racist bullshit to keep himself in the spotlight 'cause even with pop music being in the state it’s in his music isn’t enough. He stole some poor girls moment and dragged in another to further his own agenda. He took something that had absolutely nothing to do with him and turned it so it became all about him. Do you think its genius that he issued some half assed apology on twitter afterwards? Straight the fuck up this talentless dickhead gets by more on shock value than his shitty music and won’t even be a blip on the radar in ten years.

Hilarious. Yes, he acted like a douche…which will in turn bring the girl he screwed with even MORE fame than she had previously if for no other reason than people feel sorry for her. they say there is no “bad” publicity in show business for a reason. Considering I have heard quotes from her on 3 different radio stations this morning, I am guessing she isn’t as torn up about this as she is happy people are paying more attention to her.

I understand that, but do you really think that during his “brilliant” self indulgent temper tantrum he thought " I’ma do Taylor a solid and act like an ass so people feel sorry and it brings her more pub. Kanye the genius strikes again!" No, he wanted all the attention on himself, and the irony is it backfired and now people are devoting their attention towards her. Let’s see what hair brained scheme he comes up with to bring the attention back his way. My guess is a press conference or some other publicized “apology”.

He acted like an ass as an obvious attempt to get attention, but this isn’t a brilliant scheme on his part, it’s a sign of desperation. His music was good, but not that good, and without his constant publicity seeking antics he would already be forgotten. Also, plenty of celebrities have been able to grab negative media attention without resorting to pathetic douche-baggery. The fact that all Kanye has is pathetic douche-baggery reveals a lot.
How can you say he would already be forgotten? He’s recently had a hit album and you do know that he layed the groundwork for Jay Z Blueprint 3 which is one of the most anticipated albums of the year right?

Anyone who would say he would be forgotten by now doesn’t listen to the music. Kanye wasn’t going anywhere. He didn’t do this because he thought he would be forgotten without doing it.

Lastly, if you don’t even listen to the music, please spare us the critique of all things related to Hip Hop or even pop music.

I think he is poor as a rapper but even I can see the man has real talent for this.

You just justify his argument about black rappers by trying to continue arguing with him. Hyperbole is fine if that is the reaction you want but it doesnt mean that you are intelligent in your use of it. I am saying honestly tell me the last time a white heavy metal performer did this and the race roles were switched.

I’ve always thought he was an asshole. He certainly proved it with that move. He may be rich, he may be talented, he may be all that, but he is still an first class, grade A asshole.

Next time he should try to steal the mike from “The Rock’s” hand. Picking on a 17 year old girl, what a dick.

Why would you say it has anything to do about race, he thought that Beyonce was more deserving which I agree with anyway.

Dude, ignorant blanket statements…that include race are fucking stupid regardless who is making them. That is the point X is making…I guess you didn’t follow when that point was made by my post as well. Get a grip…I don’t see you worried about the original poster’s ignorant comment.

If popular music was what it was in the mid 90’s guys like West, Lil Wayne and Soulja boy would’ve never gotten a record deal. That’s just the Gods honest truth. The guy is terrible.

You forgot the fact that Kanye’s biggest talent is making those nice beats you mentioned. This alone would still make him relevant and sought after by the “more talented” artist…rappers, singers, etc.

I can’t stand his behavior or his attitude…but I can’t sit here and say he’s not talented than most in certain aspects…especially when it comes to producing music. It’s like the same thing with Pharrell…sucks as an artist…but you know the rest.

Alcohol obviously doesn’t bode well with over-inflated egos…such a fool. Kanye’s gonna end up like that guy on The Soloist…lol.

Yeah, but honestly are his beats THAT good? There’s probably at least a hundred kids in my city alone that can make better beats, they just haven’t been found. If he just up and disappeared would anyone really notice, or would the next cat come in and fill his musical shoes as people slowly [or quickly] forgot about him?
Considering he’s had the only relevant rap album since 2pac/biggie days YES people would notice. All the hundreds of kids in your city that make beats for parties for all the basketball players that are beter then Jordan won’t ever be found.

You don’t like him fine. He’s an Ass fine, He got a big ego fine. But if you like hip hop you sound like a fool saying Kanye doesn’t have beats and lyrics, about the only place he goes wrong is trying to make depressed r&b albums. He doesn’t even spit about guns and crime and still comes off harder than all the kids in your city.

The original poster gets what he deserves, you dont make it right by making an equally retarded statement about a different race.

You must not understand that Beyonce then went on to get the best music video award. The award Beyonce got is a better award then what the country singer got. So basically Kanye was a dick about something that was going to be righted anyway by Beyonce getting the better award.

kanye west is emo as hell
i only listen to real underground rap

This reaction just shows attention whorin’ ain’t easy.

This would’ve been a little funnier a few years ago.

I honestly don’t think this is a marketing gimmick this time. I really think the congac and ego got the best of him. He looked super f’d up as he was saying it, and he already thinks whatever says is the law.

Do you share a brain with someone else and this is your day off?
