You did have a busy weekend. I made pancakes as well. Do you put crisco in the pan? Makes the pancakes crispy. Not healthy but oh so good. [/quote]
I have a griddle and I use butter… I’m a Southerner, if we dont use butter we cook in bacon fat or ham drippings…

x2
And if you thin the batter just a tad, the edges are crispy and full of buttery goodness.
Mmmmmmmmmm…
My daughter loves chocolate chip pancakes as well. Beautiful little sugar coma.

3 sets 5 reps each movement 115 lbs
Treadmill walk 20 minutes
Moved the weight up. Damn near died. Now its time to increase the number od sets…Of course I almost puked again. Thankfully, I checked the janitor closet and it was locked. I held the puke factor back. Going to be sore as hell pretty soon.
JW’s morning thought: It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.
Thanks Joe. The complexes can be particularly grueling for me. I’m kinda partial to flapjacks myself. My daughter doesnt care for their thickness.
Skip I have my days. It’s one day at the time for me of late.
Dateline Wednesday: 4::11 am
Squat: 135x10, 205x8, 4x245x5, 245x3
Bunch of ab stuff
Glute ham raise
Goblet squat: 3x80x8
Treadmill walk: 10 minutes
Left the gym with rubbery legs and a sore ass. There are those that say I am a pain in the ass to them, so I guess its payback for me. Squats felt good. Looks like I will be stuck at 245 for me for a while.
What a beautiful day today. Sun is bright and the trees are sprouting out. The dogwoods are blooming and the pollen is thick as fleas on a dog’s back. I can’t even begin to put my contacts in. I think I will be wearing glasses for a couple of weeks.
JW’s morning thought: The true Southerner has no use for an ‘R’, except at the beginning of a word.
Good work out. Been beautiful here for the last couple of days. Been tempted to swim in the river but having to get use to indoor pool for upcoming comp. Reading your thread just made me decide to cook up a pound of bacon and pancakes for supper. Dogs love the pancakes, too, but they don’t get syrup. Bisquick, here we come.
Bench Press: 135x15, 205x8, 3x255x3, 2x255x2, 2x275x1, 185x1o
Flat DB Press: 90x6, 94x4, 100x2
Incline DB press: 3x70x8
Pec deck 3x150x8: super set with cable x-over: 3x60x8
Rev grip incline 135x8, 135x6, 135x4 super set with OH ext: 160x10, 160x6, 160x3
Good and bad today. Bench felt heavy. The DB work felt solid. Did some super sets at a whim, with way to little rest between sets. Still seeking focus or training, diet, and all aspects of life… Oh well. Just another manic Monday.
JW’s morning thought: Nothing spoils lunch any quicker than a rogue meatball rampaging through your spaghetti.
Hunker down, cous. We had the shit weather yesterday. Nothin like carryin mail in a 40 mph wind during a t-storm and tornado warnings. Looks like it’s sittin dead in your lap right now. Prayers for you and the family.
Skip, the pollen is been thicker than hell so far. However the Carolina Jasmine has been blooming and the Dogwoods are some kinda pretty. It’s the prettiest time in the year in eastern NC
Harry, we kept our heads low. We fared fine on this side of the river. However our neighbors 2 counties over weren’t so lucky. 11 dead in a community of 200. It’s pretty tragic, and it looks like a landfill rather than a small southern town from the aerial views.
Dateline Saturday 5:25 am
Squat warm up: 135x20
Bench press: 135x10, 205x10 2x255x4, 2x255x3, 255x1 stupid setted with DB press: 85x6, 95x4, 2x105x2
Incline DB press: 3x75x8 stupid setted with pec deck: 150x8, 2x150x6, stupid setted with x-over: 60x8, 2x60x4
Rev grip incline press: 135x8 stupid setted with OH extensions: 3x160x6
Treadmill walk: 15 minutes
You read that right. Saturday was stupid set Saturday. I had the gym alone so I decided to use the whole gym all at once. So I did a bunch of super sets for giggles and grins. No real thought in them thus the term stupid sets. I am a little sore… Had a 3 girl sleepover in the middle of the largest tornado out break in the history of the state. I think it was safer out side. So since they were up all night, I was up half the night and didn’t train Sunday. Unless you call hauling 3 13 year olds to the Walmart training…
Dateline Monday: 4:12 am
Squat: 135x10, 205x8, 4x245x5, 245x3
Glute ham raise: 3xB$x8
A bunch of ab work
Treadmill walk: 15 minutes
Took a step back with my squats. I had planed a complex but decided to squat. My week off due to not having my head in the game really is telling the tale of the tape. I am getting weak and its frustrating as hell. Trying to re-double my efforts and get back on the stick.
JW’s morning thought: A study found that American workers work the first three hours every day just to pay their taxes
I was driving through Virginia Sat/Sun and it got pretty fierce down towards your way. Glad to hear ya’ll are all right. that looked like one big MFer of a complex.
UN42, I’m going to keep working at it. Seems like all my lifts are in “one step back mode”
Joe, It was a helluva storm. Its alomost like they hopped over our area, but 15 miles to the west and east of us were torn slam up.
After a bunch of days with no complexes, I think I over reached. 115 damn near killed me again, and it seems the urge to worship to Gods of porcelain are happening at a more frequent pace. In simple terms, while I don’t think Ive been working very hard, my body apparently does, because it seems every other week I drive myself to puking during complexes.
JW’s morning note to self: More people will get out of your way if you say “I’m gonna puke!” than if you say “Excuse me”.
