What? Roasted, not boiled?? Wow! I don’t know what to say. I’m feeling kind of sick…

I know you are closer to the line between heaven and hades, but still…lol.
Hey Skip dont bust my chops. I’m from the area where Amedeo Obici founded Planters Nut Company. They didnt do no boilt Peanuts! Mr Obici kept a whole lot of farmers in business down here!
Lol…I’m just giving you grief. I like roasted peanuts…just not as much. And, honestly, I was 14 the 1st I tasted a roasted peanut. Well, besides chocolate covered or in M&Ms. Dunking a roasted peanut in chocolate was pure genius!!
HAHA thats why I weigh so damn much now!

There is always the chance. I mean, in theory, Hell COULD freeze :)
HAHAHA X2!! The deal is for you notherners barbecue is a verb first…
In England if you cook it on a grill its BBQ, which made me sick to my stomach.

Yankee BBQ? Thats like Mississippi lobster…

sauce from the store smeared on meat = BBQ

Whats the big deal? All tastes the same.

ha,ha,ha,ha

Nothing like throwing gas on a fire!

But you’re right. The only difference between a Porsche and a Pinto is where it is made, right?

Is COC still around? I can’t tell you how many times I saw them in the late 80’s.

Next weekend, 1/2 mile down the road, “Best Bucking BBQ Cookoff”. Know several of the teams. They be cookin all night so I’ll head up there with a libation and sit around tellin whoopers for awhile. Good time.

More like Alligator Gar. I went Gar fishing with some relatives over in Mississippi once, wow that was both boring and stupid.

Incline cable fly: 4x40x8
Skull crusher: 2x50x8 50x6

1 arm triceps ext: 60x8, 2x60x6 super set with triceps push down: 60x8, 2x60x4

This was the first time i benched in a couple of months. I wasn’t to happy with my effort while I was training. After reading it written down its not too bad and effort. I really tired to mix it all up. I guess it worked. I’m still a bit sore from Saturday.

Dateline Sunday 5:17 am
Back training

Squat warm up: 135x20
Kroc Rows: 3x85x12
Hammer Low: 3x70x10
Lat pull down: 3x135x8 super set with face pull: 3x90x8
DB shrug: 85x6, 85x4, 85x2

I have a lot left for the Krocs. I will work with 100 lb DBs next time. The rest of the training was average at best. I tweaked my back picking up the DB’s with the shrugs. They were hard to hold on too, so next time I will use some straps or a lighter DB. I need to incorporate rack pulls as well.

On a depressing note, I forgot to set my alarm and missed complex day this morning. On a high note, my daughter is hanging out with me at work today… She is the boss!!

JW’s late morning thought: It’s a good thing to be old, because that means you haven’t died yet,

Dateline Tuesday 5:34 am
Chest training

Flat DB press: 3x85x10
Hammer incline 70x10, 2x70x8 super set with Decline bench press 135x10, 2x135x6
One arm triceps ext.: 60x10, 2x60x8, super set with OH triceps ext: 120x10, 120x7, 120x4

I hope Tuesdays will be a chest assistance day. I’m going to make these workouts quick and dirty since I have a time limit. School is starting Wednesday for the daughter (she is a 7th grader) and I have to get to work… I’m hoping to get back into the saddle pretty hard again after these last 4 months of riding the personal roller coaster I need a constant in my life!!

While it is still hot here, you can tell autumn is on the way. The color of the sunlight is changing. It has a more yellow hue. Also the sun has started to make its southern trek when it sets. The only good thing about fall and winter is college football. I hate the fucking cold that’s on the way!! I’d much rather have 100 degree days than 45 degree days!

JW’s morning thought: Eating lobster at a baseball game is God’s way of telling you that you make too much money.

I’m with you, this is the South and its supposed to be warm year round. Winter is for Polar Bears.

Thank god college football is starting I was going through withdrawal.

Roll Tide Roll!

SHIT!! Tried to edit the post and hit the wrong button… what an idiot I am!

Can’t win 'em all

I must, respectfully, disagree with you, sur. I am more than ready for some cool or even cold weather. As I told one lady the other day who opined the heat was better than the cold; “I can put on all the clothes I can wear while delivering mail to stay warm but modesty, the post office, and the law prevent me from removing much more to stay cool.”
How’s the supersetting incline and deline benchs feel? That’s a unique combo for a superset.

ya know - I used to say something quite similar, but 21 winters at high elevation in Colorado have cured me of that. I would really like to go someplace more temperate - you know, like the flatlands in Denver…

I guess I’m not acclimatized correctly, Harry. In the winter I cant get warm. I’d rather have the heat and humidity. Do you think that has something to do with my webbed feet and these little slits behind my ears?

I have no clue why I do that super set combo other than the decline bench is right behind the Hammer Incline machine. I do like how it feels and i really seem to hit the top of my chest hard, especially when I use a wide grip on the decline bench.

JW- Someone gave me tickets for todays Red Sox game on the first base line… Its been raiing here for 3 days but I am going in and hoping it clears ( goats are stupid)…since the tickets are free I am having Lobster!

Great to have you back, workouts are looking solid…keep at it young man!

Dateline Wednesday 4:18 am
Complex training

5 sets 5 reps each movement

Set my jungle gym up again. I huffed and puffed. I should of run some on the treadmill but since its the first day of school I hustled on back home to help get the youngun ready. So ballet starts next, along with guitar and voice lessons. Wilson the “arts dad” is off and running!! Now its off to work to see what is happening with the Chinese and Vietnamese furniture manufacturers. Lets hope things stay steady for the fall and winter.
