Nice filter, bro
Sorry, had to.

Sorry, had to.
Fabulous. I wasnāt thinking to go keto, but I was thinking about cutting out dairy and processed carbs . Breads rice and etc
Instead add veggies and fruits and etc. just eat what comes from the ground and not too much man made nonsense.
I also want to stop these insulin spikes and regain control of my energy system.
Thank you sir
damn that is a big change man. Diet is the biggest aspect as always. Truth. Cannot get there without.
I havent done bloodwork yet since ive been on keto. I will very soon.
Thank you. My filtering techniques have been progressing nicely. As you can see ive graduated to ācollage techniquesā.
Drop the lactose filled milk and keep the cheese and grass fed butters. Drop the frutose filled fruits. Massive insulin response and insulin locks down fat stores in the body. Once youve run out of room in your muscles and liver for glucose⦠Insulin forces the excess glucose into fat stores. Carbs/sugar are the root of obesity, heart disease, fatty liver disease, diabetes, inflammation. Cut it out.
I agree and that was exactly what I was thinking about doing. a very simple solution it is. Thanks buddy.
How much mct oil do you use and how many times per day?
I have read some NCBI stuff that supports this idea. The AI kills localized production in a lot of places, which would explain the general crappy feeling that some guys get from it. Itās not good for most guys.
Yup exactly Iāve been reading more and more.
We simply donāt know if the ai is killing our heart, cock or brain. Maybe all three. Yet we donāt blame ai for libido and heart issues
or low estrogen for that matter.
I use 1 tablespoon per day in my morning coffee and have a few fat bombs theough out the day. Iāll have a fat bomb after dinner like a dessert. Its basically like a reeses peanut butter cup but made with almond butter, melted coconut oil and unsweetened cocoa powder. I sweeten it up with Pyure.
Ya that sounds like something Iād eat after dinner. Thanks man Iāll update yāall when I do this for some time.
Over consumption of processed simple sugars are the root of most obesity, and obesity is arguably the number 1 cause of disease in America. Carbs are not the enemy. Your brain cannot survive without glucose. Period. Itās what your body is designed to burn for fuel and it prefers carbohydrates to make it. Ketosis is a āsurvivalā mode for your body.
Insulin is also responsible for saturating the muscles with glycogen, which is required for growth and recovery between sets, so we canāt demonize it. Professional body builders actually take insulin shots for just this purpose after a huge workout. Itās necessary for certain functions so we have to make sure to not throw the baby out with the bath water here.
Yes, people overdo it (simple processed High GI carbs) all the time, and obesity and disease is the result. An average man of an average build can store about 120g of glucose in the muscle tissues, so most do not need more than that in dietary form. This of course is completely dependent on the activity levels and lifestyle.
Keto is a great tool, and body builders use it all the time for contest prep. Itās also good for resetting insulin resistance in certain cases. I use it myself for cutting, but I will never again see it as a lifestyle. If I had epilepsy, different story.
You make some valid points but your wrong about carbs and sugars. Carbs ARE sugars. Long chain sugars and they are just as bad if not worse. Your brain does require glucose to function but you donāt need any carbs or sugars to fuel your brain with Glucose. Period. I take in 20 grams of trace carbs from vegetables daily sometimes less and my blood glucose levels stay a constant 90 mg/dl. Why??? Protien is converted to glucose through gluconeogenesis. Your body does not āpreferā carbs.
If a diabetic eats a cheese cake and their blood glucose spikes over 330 mg/dl they can wind up in the hospital. Why??? Because their pancreas cannot produce the insulin to save them from their sugar addiction. Thats what it is. An addiction. Carbohydrates and the western diet are based in bad science. Grain based carbohydrate filled diets are causing disease. Massive inflammation. This has been proven through many many studies. Those bodybuilders your referring to are playing dangerous games with insulin and I guarantee you they have ridiculous insulin resistance.
I know you dont use insulin. If insulin is so great why dont you inject some? Insulin is your bodies defense mechanism for out of control blood sugar due to a poor diet. Im eating over 3000 calories a day. I promise Iām not starving.
I wonāt sit here all night and argue with you. I was so far on this bandwagon, just like you, and researched this topic to death. I also know how hard headed I was and how anti carb I became as well.
Time will tell and I hope it treats you well my friend. If you still feel the same way about it a year from now I applaud you, and, for the record, I hope you do. Iām rooting for you!
Again, looking good bud. Congrats!
Iām just having a discussion. Not an argument. Iām sure you felt the same way and I may not do this forever. Time will tell. The science is with me along with the results. I just hope to continue to learn. I wish you the best @bmbrady77
No man I didnāt mean argument in a derogatory way, so I apologize if it came off that way. Argument as in debate, the discussion of two different viewpoints. I was trying to say that this is a discussion that could go all night lol, and I donāt have that much time right now.
Science though, is still out in the long term implementation of keto dieting long term (years). There are tons of benefits to keto, but there are also tons of improperly understood facts. One being that the modern keto diet is actually going into ketosis. Itās kind of a red herring in the fact that
gluconeogenesis (as you mentioned) will convert protein to glycogen, the second preferred method to carbohydrates, and kill the state of ketosis. True, clinical ketosis, can actually kill you under the right circumstances, and Iām not talking about 0.8-3.0 blood ketone levels, which is what modern diets shoot for, but true ketosis as in a level of > 5-6. This condition, in the presence of anything that spikes blood glucose, is a potentially deadly situation called ketoacidosis. You may already know that. What most call ketosis now is actually a mild state of carb deprivation. Itās really just a super low carb diet.
Iāll hit you up in a couple of days when my wife is working if I get off work early enough in the afternoon, and we can discuss it further if youāre available. I love talking about this stuff!!
Nice just sAved it!
I feel diets arenāt great to learn from. I like to use a diet to achieve a goal but I never go all in. I like to keep my options open and try to minimize the bad. In terms of keto Iām able to implement features to lose fat as my ex did. It works. To go long term is sketchy. Some folks go long on a diet and get lean and thin, but Ruin their health. I truly believe you go for the diet that works with your genetics.
Like an Indian can eat vegan because their ancestors have for thousands of years. Take a Canadian and put them on vegan and I bet the rate of health failure is massive.
