Bless Buddha Cap will be a period piece set in WWII. Also Yes that was Cap’s shield shown in Tony’s Lab

Nice to know. Thanks for posting that.
I can see how they will be tying it in already…after the credits…

You see Steve Rogers dethawing…with Tony Stark, Nick Fury, Bruce Banner in the room around him.

Tony Stark looks at Nick Fury “General, I think we found the leader…”

F’ing awesome.

SCENE: S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters:

An imposing figure obscured by an ice block sits in the middle of an unknown room. Scientist look on, making notes and monitoring the vital signs of whatever is trapped in the ice.

Tony Stark, Nick Fury, Bruce Banner walk in. Stark and Banner can’t help but look on in awe at the massive bulk encapsulated by the frozen ocean water. Stark carries a shield… the outside face is not shown.

Partially visible fingers start to move. Tony Stark looks at Nick Fury as bead after bead of cold water begin to descend down the ice block…

“General, I think we’ve found our leader.”

The ice cracks… fine hairline fractures begin to spread across the block of ice containing America’s greatest hero…

Tony drops the shield, and it rolls to face the screen…

Cut to black screen…
I had to. The nerd in me demanded more.

I prefer a tribute to Avengers number 4. They defrost him he screams Bucky looks arounsd disorientated assumes he’s a nazi prisoner and proceeds top beat the ever loving shit out everybody in sight until Fury walks in to calm him down and explain what’s up, to which Cap looks at him and says “Fury you why are you so old?”.

Seriously though… no one was bothered by the Jeff Bridges being a villain? I burst out laughing twice mid-rant. The Dude is just not a very convincing evil megalomaniac.

That’s…just like…your opinion, man.

The fact that this thread is still going is a testament to how good this movie is

I was thinking the same before I clicked on thread…I think Marvel taking helm of their franchises is paying off…Incredible Hulk looks to help us forget Ang Lee’s version.

And to make you feel better, Sony bought back the rights to film more Spider-Man.

YAY, MORE EMO SPIDER-MAN!!!

I was hoping they’d lay off Spidey and the X franchise for a little bit to focus on the other parts of the Marvel U. A true Silver Surfer movie, maybe a Thing solo film, redo Daredevil(like the directors cut), some Powerman and Iron Fist, Ghost Rider(Dan Ketch style)

Hey that could happen. In my story, he’s still in the ice. It’s only cracking when I fade to black.

EDIT: Oh, wait. My bad, Fury is already in the room in my version.

Something like this only with whoever they’re putting in the Avengers movie.

This thread needs pepper.

More pepper anyone?

And if you needed anymore convincing to see this movie…

You’d be surprised. I was at a wedding last night and I was pretty much the only person there who had actually seen it. Most everyone hadn’t gotten around to it yet and I spent a lot of time convincing people that weren’t sure if they should see it.

Done a lot of socializing this Memorial Weekend–all three days–and there was always at least one person who had seen it when I brought it up. Everyone I know who has seen it raves about it.

(Then I have to tell them about Captain America’s shield, because I am “that guy.”)
