Ok… I know I’ve got a LONG way to go. But here’s a before pic from just over a year ago, followed by a couple of ones from today. (It’s my 40th birthday, and getting into better shape was a present to myself.)

Nice job man!
Congratulations on not being like everyone else on the planet who gets fatter and lazier with age. Make up your mind to do something and work towards that goal. Looks like you have done good so far, just keep it up and make sure you focus on that diet and aren’t afraid to put some weight on the bar.
Nice! I just want to shake your hand, we need more people like you in this world. Congrats man, lookin great.
Even your daughter looks happier haha.
Very Impressive, The “After” Picture looks like the “Before” pictures Son!!!
Nice job. After picture looks much better than before. But take it easy and slow. Don’t try to do too much at once, that’s what I’ve learned.
What was the motivational factor? Was is just time to make a change? Either way great job!
Awesome job HumanJH! Keep up the good work, the hard part is done now. Keep maintaining and enjoy your new body.
Your kid is adorable. Whatever your main motivation may have been, the positive effects your transformation will have on her life make you admirable.

The challenge was both eating right and exercising. A lot of people (including me in the past) find it not too difficult to do one or the other, but not both.
The motivation was just realizing, every time I drove by McDonald’s or walked by the candy jar, that I’d rather lose that few grams of fat than eat that thing in front of me. It boiled down to a few grams at a time over the year.
Honestly wanting to lose weight more than wanting various treats made it work. Even on a holiday, I think of it as celebrating and giving myself what I really want when I have a half turkey sandwich for lunch. Because if I have a burger and fries, I’m trading the gains I could be making for something I want less. That would be silly. So I enjoy the turkey sandwich.
Anyway, I’ve got a way to go yet. I’m in it for the long haul. Now the goal is to start gaining muscle without too much fat… I’ll maybe do 8-12 week gain with 4 week cutting cycles. Haven’t worked it out fully yet.
First RMP I’ve approved of in a while.
Congrats.
Looks like Putin got in shape
awesome transformation.
