Just can't get abs

To elaborate on Coach Hales comment, take a look at Boyer Coe’s mid section.Impressively ripped arms, good back, legs, but near non -existant abs. It may well be genetics if your fat levels are in check. Some people can get that super deep cut, rippled abs. Some can get nice, lean abs, while others get much of any.

Good question, but no. The basic problem is in the movement itself. Also, it is impossible to remove all momentum above a dangerous threshold. Why not just bend your knees on the way up? That way the force vector (at your feet) will be straight down toward the floor at the bottom, not in a posterior direction (which is ballistic on the lumbar section)? Has anyone ever really enjoyed leg lifts? Or their cousin, the exercise you are describing? Try it my way, and it will feel good to you–your body will be telling you it likes it!

Thanks I’ll do that. I never could do the leg lift with pike that the coach has illustrated, so I don’t feel that all those years of leg lifts really did that much anyway. Reverse crunches seem more effective, well painful, anyway.
