Haha I felt super strong today, so I thought since I feel so good let me just push it. My body feels a bit more refreshed so the 500 didn’t feel as heavy as it did the last time I did it. I’ll probably hit 500 once a month just to make sure I can hit it lol
I recall nutty saying never going past 405 anymore, no need, lol!
Never trust Nutty when he says never LOL.
Gotta do what you gotta do sometimes!

I should’ve known better than to believe you’d actually follow this…
(last three logged workouts)
No real criticism here, lol. You’ve made killer progress with or without following structured programming, and I don’t train all that differently from you. Just laughing at you even bothering with the facade that you’ll ever adopt a specific program ![]()
I was just about to ask what program nutty is doing since I was looking around for good logs (preferably 5/3/1) to follow lol
Hahaha! You know actually I thought I was going to take 2-4 weeks off of lifting, but decided to do random shit until July 1st. I signed up for a gym in Denver called Iron Warrior Gym that has all the strongman implements and July 1st is when I’ll go back to FB with a Saturday events day. Don’t lose hope for me yet!!
I’ve done BTM and SGSS so far so technically I have done 2 full programs in 4-5 years haha!
5/3/1 is great man, can’t go wrong. So many variations to choose from! But depending on your strength levels and goals just basic progression is needed. Programs honestly are the least important things. It helps, but the magic is not in any program!

Yeah, I just went with a basic template. 5/3/1 for beginners and mostly sticking to the accessories that Wendler suggests. Nothing fancy lol
5/3/1 Beginners is great man. One program that I would like to try in general lol.
Hey man just curious what’s your ht and bw? Got some strong squats bro ![]()
Thanks man! It wasn’t always that way lol.
I’m 5’7, 185.3lbs, 8%-12% bodyfat and about to be 33 years old!
Wow even more impressive, keep it up man.
Thanks brotha! Trying to squat until my 100s!
@whang @biros This was the first logging of Nutty. In december 2016…
Nutty you’re such an inspiration. Hard work all the way through, just plain hard work.
Thanks man! That is the #1 ingredient to getting bigger and stronger. Now it makes sense to me why there are so many “gym-bros” out there that are big and strong. Just gotta work hard and eat and keep showing up!

Yeah, I still remember when it looked like Nutty was gonna be another never-makes-progress-newb. His story is the go-to example for any 145-pound newb that’s done 3 months of Starting Strength and whines that their squat has stalled at 185.
