Just a few observations

NSA, people respond to what they care for, and there is nothing anyone can do to prevent that, if you post a topic and get no response I would guess that it is entirely likely that noone was interested in it, the 25 most recent topics stay on page one and before it is bumped from the front page, numerous people will have read it. Try clarifying what it is that you are looking for, or respond to it yourself if you think that perhaps it was misunderstood and you can thereby send it back through, because people on this forum want to help each other and don’t simply ignore posts because they don’t deal with pop-culture. Good Luck

Here’s my idea–don’t respond to questions that seem lame to you. If your question doesn’t get answered here, there are plenty of other boards/websites that can help you out. Personally, I only read the first page of this forum–unless I look for a reply to 1 of my respones/questions.

G-Spot said it best. This forum – which is actually quite young in Internet time – is evolving into a community where people with a common interest can come together and share their ideas, goals, and, yes, dreams. In the process, a camaraderie is beginning to form between disparate people who would otherwise have never conversed, and it’s only natural that people are wishing to identify a little closer with one another (hence the various OT threads). I do agree that people can be a little quick with the flame trigger, but it’s only natural for people to get frustrated at numerous repetitive questions when the answers are a few keystorkes and a click away. (It’s certainly much easier to find quality information than when I first started lifting, i.e., mid-80s.) My strategy with questions that interest me is to search for the answer in the back issues and posts and: (1) if the question is fairly close to a previous one, I point the questioner in that direction; or (2) if the question hasn’t been answered previously, I answer it if I’m confident in my ability to do so. With respect to the issue of greater censorship, I think Chris Shugart is doing an outstanding job and I’d rather not see more “regulation” of the posts (although I see that I just had one rejected ;-). With respect to the various ideas for improving the forum, I have no doubt that the T-mag staff has a few things up their collective sleeve…
