Junk Email

I love reading these sometimes. Below was in my Junk business email

Naliall FROM HOSPITAL

I am Nolwazi lawrence, from swissland. I am writing from the hospital in Cote D’Ivoire, therefore this mail is very urgent as you can see that I am dying in the hospital. I was told by the doctor that I was poisoned and has got my liver damaged and can only live for some months. I inherited some money ($4.8 Million) from my late father and I cannot think of anybody trying to kill me apart from my step mother in order to inherit the money, she is an Ivorien by nationality. I want you to contact my servant with this informations

below: His name is James Ayu, jamesayu47@yahoo.com , and his phone number is +22545488230 , Address: Rue De La Princess L/G 152 CocodyAbidjan, Cote D’Ivoire

He will give you the documents of the money and will direct you to a well known lawyer that I have appointed to him, the lawyer will assist you to change the documents of the money to your name to enable the bank transfer the money to you.
This is the favour I need when you have gotten the money.

(1) Give 20% of the money to my servant, Master James as he has been there for me throught my illness and I have promised to support him in life. I want you to take him along with you to your country and establish him as your son.

(2) Give 30% of the money to Charity Organizations and Churches on my name so that my soul may rest in peace.
Note;

This should be a code between you and Master James in this transaction
Hospital" any mail from him, the barrister he will direct you to, without this code “Hospital” is not from the barrister, James, the bank or myself as I don’t know what will happen to me in the next few hour.

(3) the lawyer’s name is Barrister Jean Marc Pecheux.
And tell James to send you his National ID as he has no passport to be sure of whom you are dealing with. James is so little boy of 18 years therefore guide him please. And if I don’t hear from you sooner, I will look for another person or an organization.

May God bless you and use you to accomplish my wish. Pray for me
Miss nolwazi lawrence

I find it gives me a chuckle to read them when they pop up.

There have been some good ones over the years.

They are funny. But it’s really sad how many thousands of people have fallen victim to them.

It would be sad to be that desperate in the face of something you know is a total crock of shit.

The elderly (according to some report) fall victim to this most often. Perhaps not because they’re in dire straights, but probably more so because they’re from an era where trust was more widespread and earned, while helping your fellow man.

Damnit ID you are bringing down my chuckles.

I was hoping people would post some of the ones they find funny.

That is why old people should be kept away from the internet.

Looking at you Print and Edgy

Whew! When I saw the title of your thread, immediately I thought - oh no, my mother has his email address too.

The Dateline-type specials where they expose those types of scams are awesome.

Ok pardon my naivety but while this makes amazing reading i’m a bit uncertain as to what the scam was. Did the original Niger guy want laptops for no cash or something???
Help me appreciate this!!

The Nigerian guy placed an order for laptops with the promise of a check for $4000. He then had his “assistant” make out the check, but he “accidentally” made it out for 4500. When the check arrived at the computer store, the Nigerian guy asked the computer guy to send out a check for $500 to take care of the discrepancy. The scam is contained right there PLUS laptops.

I was also confused. So the Nigerian guy was only going to make a profit of 500 and the laptops? Also, for the OP, what is the scam, I’m also confused on this one. Haha

Yes. But he could have sold off the laptops.

Also, these scammers do this to hundreds of people. The potential for “profit” is substantial.

Most of these always have a link in the email that they want you to click on, like an email for the guy in the OP. Have to get the IT guys on here to explain what can be done once you do this

That was hilarious! This “Cole” fellow seemed to have an inexhaustible source of hope as the scam just continues and continues…

My brother has done a lot of Ebay trading over the years and almost got scammed. Similar to this story, a fraudulent check was involved and although he didn’t go to the lengths of this “Tarnbuckle”, he did go out of his way to waste as much of the scammer’s time as possible.

A couple of weeks went by before he told the creep something along the lines of “I know you’re a scammer, I’ve been playing you and I’ve enjoyed wasting your time.”.

Thanks Iron Dwarf, that story warmed my heart…

Here’s one I just got today!

lol

I’ll tell you, I’ve never had much luck with the ladies, but it seems as though my fortune is about to change! Check out the emails I got from these (presumably) hot chicks! I can’t wait to click on their links and take it to the next level!

“Howdy sexy women’s man!
We are so helpless and frustrated at the moment!
My best girl-friend is getting married the day after tomorrow and I want to arrange
the most mind-blowing adult hen party for her.
Looks like you are the sexy guy we need to thrill the future lawful wife
and her wild guests.
Come and enjoy being the only boy guest”

“Let’s make our chemistry work for us right now.
Why not, life is too effing short!
I’m feeling flirty, how about you?
My flirty snaps will put you in the mood.
Yes, I made them for this exact context.
If you don’t have any plans for this night,
I suggest we see how many moral rules we can break together.
I like doing it in the open. We don’t have to, but still a nice idea, don’t you think?
Let’s do it, to hell with dull stuff!
Write me right here in my profile and have some fun with me”

I dont get that shit.

I get a boiler room calling me every now and then and I love it.

Nothing like people cold calling you to rip you off to be reminded that there indeed are some asswipes out there that would take you for anything you are worth.

I wonder why they keep calling though, how long does it take to get the message?
