Awesome. I’ve always wanted his autograph.

This

ever since a synagogue went up in our neighborhood they’ve been coming out of the woodwork.

oh wait you said juice, nevermind.

I know 1 guy on juice. He tried to talk me into it before, and i seriously debated it just because this guy has been on juice for quite awhile, and i spank him in strength, and outweigh him by a good 40lbs, though he is a little wider, and i wondered what id turn into. He has been on it for awhile now, though recently got some better stuff and instructions to the T from an ex olympia competitor, so i think its safe to assume that he is on some good stuff, now if not before. Im still rather curious… Oh well, maybe someday.

I know…WHO CARES?

Am I the only guy on here from an area where it’s better than safe to assume that the guy who just put up 315x3 is on the needle?

Before I joined this site, I was one of those guys that Professor X chews up over calling somebody out on steroids. The guys on here, the guys who LIVE this stuff, put up great numbers, both on the bar and on the scale, and most of them seem to be natural.

I can tell you 10 or 15 guys in my high school class that did a cycle before graduation without stepping foot inside of a gym other than for soccer practice. I went to a show this weekend and I would say 80% of the competitors that I know have all been taking, including guys in the novice lightweights. I am a soft 210lbs at 5’9" and I got laughed at when I told some of the guys in the show that I’d never tried anything. Does anybody else see this in their area?

/rant
From what I’ve seen / heard/ know i’d say about 60% of the people in my university gym are on the juice. Ironically enough most of the regulars/varisty athletes are not.

Dude, I love your avatar! That shit cracks me up. Did you get it at the website that is written on it? I went to that site and it is loaded with viruses and other shit.

I want some grape drink baby.

Mmmmmm, it’s purple.
Everyone one knows red is a better flavor than purple!

OP to each his own. You will turn old an gray trying to tell people how to live there lives (not saying your doing that).

And I know a couple of people that use and a bunch that don’t. I train if someone ask me how to do something and I can answer I do. Tell them how you think it should be done and leave it to them to take the adive or leave it.

Live your life and lift the way you want. In the end no matter how many supplements someone use it will not replace a Jacked up work ethic. You have to wake the fuck up, put in the work to move ahead. Everything else does help but building up over years and years and years is what will keep you moving ahead while everyone else falls off.

Think I will change my name to WIDEMOFO.

My old gym was full of guys on steroids and they were all pretty open about it. The guy that supplied it to most of them would casually yell shit across the gym like “HEY YO, I GOT THAT SHIT IN MY TRUNK IF YOU NEED MORE!!”

Then the gym was raided, that guy got arrested and signs popped up all over the gym “POWERHOUSE HAS A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY!”

And OP - just because guys on this site say they are natural does not make it so. I’m not saying some of them are or aren’t, I’m saying you never know. That’s why I stopped caring about that shit a long time ago.

Lanky, which Powerhouse gym was that?

Ah! That had to be before the new owner (Lou) took over.

After I show “Bigger, Stronger, Faster” to my classes we end up talking about ‘juice’. They seem to think it is pretty common. But then again, they say female genital piercing is pretty common.

In my area it’s the opposite (as best I know anyway). The big, strong guys are that way because they’ve lifted hard for years and most of them have a wife at home that keeps them stuffed with fried chicken and potatoes. It’s the 16 year old 130 pound kid checking out his abs in the mirror between sets that practically walks in with a needle hanging out of his ass.

OP, I just moved to your town, and I will say that it’s more common, or at least people are more open about it here, than it has been other places I have lived and worked.

correction, I’m in Knox, not Chatt

Most sedentary people think ANYONE with any muscle at all on them beyond “normal” is on steroids. I am not sure why that shocks anyone though…so your students’ response is to be expected. Considering most also think creatine is a steroid, even moreso.

I personally don’t understand the level of emotion displayed in the OP. This seems to most often come from people who are severely lacking in the size department and focus on “juice” because they think THAT is what is keeping them from their goal.

The only way this should bring up this much emotion is if the OP wants to use steroids and is pissed because he isn’t and someone else may be.

I just don’t understand the fascination with what “other people” are doing as if that somehow affects YOU.

Alot of this “I heard” and “I know” crap is complete bullshit. Unless you’ve seen them doing/buying it, or they have told you so, you don’t know.

When I was in my early twenties I decided to enter the body for life contest. I began training seriously, and for once, I went on a strict diet. After a month and a half, I had people come up to me saying that a mutual friend told them I knew where to get the good stuff.

The only thing I was guilty of was spending a crap load on EAS products. I also had people who were at best acquaintances telling other people “they knew for a fact” that I was on gear.

I’m not even going to get into how irrelevant who is and who isn’t using is.

Agreed…also, if you are into bodybuilding and people DON’T think you are on something, then you probably suck at this.

I’m not sure. It was only about a year ago that this happened, maybe slightly longer but not much.

I know it’s changed hands a few times over the last decade or so, though. My buddy has been going there for 11 or 12 years now.

I agree with you completely X and I dont let it bother me anymore. This post was strictly from curiosity stemmed from a converstation I had with a friend.

Admittedly, it used to eat me up trying to find excuses for why others were bigger than me. I still havent accomplished a damn thing and the level of consistency and hard work I put in blows my former self away. Now wonder I wasted three years half-assing.

Why is it that we can’t see how hard somebody works (outside of maybe an hour in the gym), or how consistently they eat well, but are so quick to claim steroids, which we also can’t see.
