Well this log is coming to an end. Season is in full gear right now. I will be runnning 5/3/1 2 times a week in season. I appreciate the help+ support from everyone in this log and will continue to swing by your guys’s logs.

this offseason

Bench- from 115 to 155

Squat- from 155 to 225

Press- from 70 to 105

deadlift- from 210 to 285

Mile- from 8:30 to 7

speed and BF % improved but i cannot really give # for that. Did not reach all my goals but i did learn alot this offseason. Thanks again for the help and support and i’ll be making another log next offseason.

Great. The type of exercise selection you have been doing recently was what I was talking (although I may of came off the wrong way). I would assume for the in season you will start slowly raising your calories to keep your strength levels up from all of the the excessive conditioning that is done for sports?

Yep, calories will be raised for sure. Ever since i started doing dips/chins/pushups my bench went up. Thanks for the tip man!

Hold it right there, little buddy.

Just because the season is about to start doesn’t mean you can just stop logging. The best bit is about to begin and all of your fans want to hear about how you go.

I am glad my advice helped, you can only train a lift so much, sometimes you need to build (your assistance work matters and should be hard and somewhat heavy)

Let’s get you busting out heavy weighted dips and chin ups next off season ;). Have you ever tried doing rep maxes for your second big exercise of the day for certain weights example: 95, 115, 135, 165, 185, 205, 225, 245, 255, 275, 295, 315, ect where you do two sets near failure and one to a max? 8,7,10 at 185 for example and add a rep or two to each set each week.

DSSG- ya i will probably do that next offseason on Front squats, Incline bench, and RDl’s.

Bird- I will keep you guys up to date with how the season is going but there really wont be much to log about. Strength will be on maintenance.
