Maybe this will help your bench setup:
Bar is directly over eyes
Squeeze the bar tightly
Pull your self up to the bar 2 or 3 times to engage lats (like an inverted row)
Push the bar up against the rack to lock out elbows, pushing back, then
With locked elbows pull the bar over your chest to nipple/wherever feels right
Pull the bar down, don’t just fight it down or lower it down
Push it back up by squeezing your chest, otherwise your tri’s and shoulders take over
There is a ton of lat in a bench press, so if your back is sore, you’re probably doing it right.
Feet should be firmly planted on floor, tense whole body and connect to floor. Or else you’ll leak power…
These are all things I’ve picked up and they work for me, maybe they will help you.

I was hopeing tnation could help me with something here.

The situation is that my school played rival school last friday. Before the game i tweeted something about a kid from the rival school. Didn’t mean it to be personal but i guess he took it that way.

So the kids texts me saying that were fine and all. 2 days later the kids is talking trash to me and i return it. Now he says he wants to fight.

Normally i would have no problem because i started it but lax is starting up and i cannot afford any trouble because if it gets back to my coach i will get kicked off the team.

The kid called me and told me he is fighting me tomorrow . I just told him that fights aren’t planned but, if he has a problem he knows were to find me. Should i just let him throw the first one or how should i go about this?

Dude, don’t do it. Let him call you a pussy or whatever. It takes more of a man to do the smart thing. So the smart thing is to get some bros and meet the guy. Apologize to him and mean it, don’t phone it in. If he really wants to fight, you have your bros there…to help you walk away.

Fighting seems all manly, but it’s really easy. Maybe you win, maybe you lose, maybe you get suspended and kicked off the team. Maybe you don’t. If you said something stupid, be a man and admit it and say you’re sorry.
Or be a douche and fight him and potentially mess up your immediate future.

btw, I had a friend, we were a year out of high school, he beat the shit out of this other dude. Badly. Dude went to the hospital. My buddy was charged with attempted manslaughter. That’s not pretty, and he didn’t plan it to get out of hand, but it did.

Called the kid last night and told him sorry for starting it. He apologized for talking so much shit. Its over. Lol i can always count on Tnation for advice.

My buddies and i made an indoor soccer team. First game tonight. Should be fun haven’t played serious in 2 years.

Sore as shit today from my soccer game lol.

Here’s my plan for the next couple of months since i finally got a schedual from my coach.

Monday- skill/conditioning team practice

Tuesday- Upper body lifting/ soccer game PM

Wednesday - skill/conditioning team practice

thursday- Lower body lifting

Friday- skill/conditioning team practice

Saturday- Upper body lifting

Sunday- lower body lifting.

Schedule will be packed.
