Nice… You clearly don’t know what you are talking about due to your age, maybe you should shut and read a biology book.

BTW deadlifting 385x5? next week I am supposed to do 390 for 5x3 with the last set being AMRAP. I will make sure I do 6 so I can being a one upping sumbitch.
Go away, you first name blabbing college student. You know nothing of life.

Yeah, it wasn’t the easiest but I’ll be moving up to 395x5 next week. I’m thinking I’ll do that and then I’ll start belting up for 4 plates and up and my weights will start moving. I think 395x5 is better than 390x6 so…come at me, bro.
Ima stab u.

At least we have one lift we can compete in, we both know your curls don’t stand a chance against mine.
I honestly have no idea how we’re this close on deadlifts. I guess your low back tweak set you back more than expected.
Calling me out? Fine I will hit 390 for 8-10 reps. Then hit 425 for 8 after I put the belt on the week after, and then the week after that I will deload, then the week after that I will pull 525. I’ll show you!!!

But really, before I deadlifted 501 I had never deadlifted more than 465, the most I had ever pulled for reps was like 435x2. So my rep strength being where it is now really is an improvement. My back is fully healed I just was a little timid at first but now I am raring to go.

Oh lawd, those are some numbers I doubt I can top within the next three weeks. I think they’re definitely doable for you though. MOTIVATION!

I’ve never found pulling for reps or really doing anything for reps to be that useful for me. Hopefully that will change since I’m planning on doing that for the next year or so. lol.

I don’t know if they are that doable for me, I guess we will see.

As far as pulling for reps, I have never done anything like the Juggernaut Method as far as sheer number of reps and sets per session in the main lifts, so it is hard to judge how it will affect my maxes in the long run. I am sure if you commit that much time to getting your rep strength up you will see some good gains in both strength and size.

By this time next year you will be swole as a fucking tiger. I still think you should get fat, but that’s just me.

I had an early morning test today and stayed up late last night studying so I was running on empty. It was still a decent day. Laterals felt a lot better and my chest pump was crazy. My bodyweight post-workout was 186.2 lbs. I’m making slow gains and I’d say I’m on track for a lean 195 lbs by the winter.

WHAT?! You were bullshitting me with the numbers? Not cool, man.

I’ve always heard that about rep maxes from guys like DC and Babyslayer and Chad Smith but I am a Doubting Thomas (Skutt Catholic education ftw) so I’m relying on my own anecdotal research to prove to me whether that’s true or not. Like, I believe it because it’s logical but I just need to prove it to myself.

Dude, I really think I’ll be the largest, leanest version of Sid every by the time winter comes along. I might not be the strongest, but I’ll be fucking hyooge. I’ll leave the fatness for when I load up on the Anadrol tabs…yeah brother!!!

Can you upload two pictures for me please?

225x10… at 145… Fuck yeah… Squats

I had to tell someone so i just did it in ur thread lol

Not bullshitting, setting lofty goals that I feel obligated to live up to.

Fuuuuuuuuuaaaaaaarrrrrrkkkk, come at me bro. Good stuff man, I don’t think I touched those numbers at that weight. Breathing set or continuous?

Alright y’all, got some progress pictures! Let me know exactly what I need to work on please and do not skimp on criticism!

All of these are pre-workout, so there’s about as minimal pump as possible.

And a flexed back picture to show that detail I was talking about.

It was to a box that is slightly below parallel so it was legit. I’m not sure if i told you already but i use the box as a kind of depth limiter due to me pulling my groin multiple times by going too low for my own flexibility/mobility to handle. So i (in a controlled descent of course) touch the box then explode up.

I would have to say first 6 were continuous, then i had to catch my breath for reps 7 and 8 and then took another couple of breaths for 9 and 10. Best part about it was i got under the bar unracked it hit out first 5 easy, then down for 6, then 7, then 8, and i just yelled to my spotter 2 more and kept going. Felt awesome man. I think i might have had 2 more in me also!

Yeah, I remember you telling me about the box. Not bad at all man, good stuff. Those types of days are the best. Just make sure to train intelligently and try to take as few steps backward as possible. You and I have a habit of doing that. lol

Lol, we always take two steps forward and three steps back. We need to make sure not to do that anymore.

Speak for yourself… All my lifts are up, if i were to guestimate, both squat and deadlift up around 50lbs from what i was doing a couple months ago, and bench probably up around 10. Not to jinx it of course (knock on wood), but i think i’ve really made some progress over the last 2-3 months. Hell i can see it on the calendar and workout log i keep. Shows what hard work and sticking to the workout will do.

Edit: speak for yourself part wasn’t supposed to sound dick. Also goal setting is helping me a lot for what its worth. And yeah through the mistakes made i think weve both learned how to train smarter and implemented fixes to our problems

That scented handsoap can cause skin irritation, the guy in the picture looks fine.

Damn bro, tell me how you really feel haha. I know you weren’t trying to be a dick. I just remember you back logging because of injuries and missing your meet due to injury as well and that’s all really familiar to me. Dude, the best thing about this site has been the training logs. That’s kept me more focused and guaranteed me more progress than anything else.

Dude, use your left hand while beating off and maybe you’ll fix your imbalance.

Thanks brah <3

Yeah record keeping + goal setting ftw lol

Missed the meet due to being sick though, for what its worth, but did have an injury weeks before it
