Yes, I’m aware of that (I am a Christian), I was just saying that if you look at what the Bible and Christ taught us, it is not that hard to agree with the Pope’s stance.
You think so? That is a step towards salvation. The next step is atonement. Don’t confuse redemption with salvation.
No, just no. “Social justice” isn’t at all in the new testament. No where does JC talk about someone’s race or ethnic group being central to their worth. In fact, he very much repeatedly speaks out against it and derides the racial and ethnic class systems in Judaism at the time.
I think you’re confusing identity politics with social justice.
And that, would be social justice.
You are stating that you believe social justice and identity politics to be opposites? It’s certainly the same people who believe in both, they are wrong?
Social justice involves, by definition, the assignment of guilt and merit along the lines of social groupings (ethnic, class, etc) over that of individual merit or guilt. It is a practice of identity politics. JC repeatedly preached against judging individuals by anything other than there actions and specifically told many parables with the specific lesson of ignoring socially based justice.
No. They are two separate things. Don’t be a slave to binary thinking.
And? Believing in both doesn’t make them the same or opposites.
You have no idea what you are talking about. You are out of your depth. Social justice is an idea that goes back to at least Socrates.
And he was right as she is being attacked by the woke mob.
Holy shit, i didnt think she was capable of saying something factually correct.
She’s still batting like .002 but that’s about as good as it’s gonna get
She’s been on the wokesters hit list since getting chummy with Shapiro
Go watch her conversation with Ben Shapiro … she comes across as a harpy on TYT but seems reasonable (for a lefty) among other company
Sling me your definition then. I’m going by what is currently practiced under that name.
Social justice is a broad term and different cultures and societies have had different views on how it manifests itself.
In this country, the Civil Rights Movement would have been about social justice.
Okay… what definition on you using when you discuss it then? Because I find it odd that the civil rights movement and the current wave of “social justice” are diametrically opposed on many issues. For example, the current wave of “social justice” has become largely pro segregation.
I would prefer not to use it at all since it is a broad term that can mean anything given the circumstances.
Shapiro is a zionist so isnt a true supporter of america. its his people first at all times.
80% of me thinks this really isn’t right!
20% of me thinks: Dude, you are psychologist…surely you must have known this could quite easily have happened.
I don’t care.
You can find that with a lot of topics. The ‘expert’, someone who has usually written a book about a subject or thesis, is asked about a something outside their field of expertise, to a specific expert in that field, it’s a pea brained answer, where the real answer might be more nuanced and far more complicated.
I remember reading an article which made zero sense to me, no logic, no underlying science, yet at the end he’d included his references, and how he’d drawn his conclusions. So I looked them up, I couldn’t see any links between the references and his ideas, they literally read as the total opposite of what he was trying to say. So I started looking up all his references, same story across the board.
Main stream media does it slightly differently. Take a subject you know a great deal about, then search for that subject online or find an article in a mainstream newspaper. The headline will be something that hooks you in, then there will be a statement of a widely held belief, then nothing to back it up but a seemingly random non-linking story. Usually they will make some claim that the original idea can get a 50% improvement but the article then talks about some random idea that can get 200%, it’s using the known idea to draw us in, so they can sell us on their products, which we’ve never heard of.
