John's Training Log - Road to 225-315-405

Deadlifts W3 of 16 Kroc DL
Singles at 275, 275, 275, 295 then 315x2 ss band pull aparts
DB Bench 60 lb each, 5x8 ss Rows
Bulgarian Split squats 25 lb ea, 3x10
Decline Crunches RP 25, 15, 10

Went off the program a little bit here. Felt really good and the 275 felt light. Went up a bit and did 3 plates for a double. Also, the split squats felt terrible!

@dagill2 Hey man, do you remember what you did on the non-deadlift weeks of the kroc program? I’m planning on doing snatch grip DLs or rackpulls and some upper and lower back work.

I was working in a 10 day micro cycle, instead of weekly so I skipped the deloads.

From memory the program calls for no deadlifting, so i would probably also nix rack pulls.

Bench Press Machine RP 30,10,10

Great upper body pump. Bench felt really easy, so I added a pause at the bottom. Not sure if I underestimated my 1RM or maybe it should feel easy the first few weeks.

So, just heard that the building we live in has a resident with a confirmed case of covid 19. Damn it.

Which means said person has had his/her snotty fingers all over doorknobs, handrails, elevator buttons, etc.

Time to brush of the ol’ train-at-home plan?

Wish I had the space man!

Was thinking more bodyweight stuff, personally. I have a pullup bar I might be able to hang up somewhere. Pushups and handstand pushups don’t require space. I have a weight vest for extra challenge. I can put some furniture on my back and try to squat it. Etcetera.

I might do that if push comes to shove, but from what I’m hearing the infected person is now quarantined and the building admin is proactive in sanitizing the area. I’m not too worried about getting it, I doubt I’m gonna die from it, just a little worried for our little girl.

City on lockdown so all gyms are closed. Just did what I can with the items I have at my disposal. Lockdown will probably last for a month. Hey @whang, how you doing man?

Gyms are closed for at least a month, so just gonna do pushups, ab wheel and band stuff at home. Good thing you have a home gym! I’m jealous.

Hey man. Stuck here. No gym. Gotta resort to some body weight stuff too. How are things there? Things seem pretty bad from what I’ve been seeing. I hope you’re not affected as much

City on lockdown, no public transport, establishments closed except the essentials. Not so bad for us in the IT sector since we’re allowed to work from home. Can’t imagine the people that couldn’t work and won’t have anything to eat though.

Hey guys I’m back! Hope everything’s well for you and your family.

Update: City still on quarantine, gyms are still closed. Good thing my work allowed us to work from home, so not much effect on our finances, but I’ve known people who lost jobs. Got myself a pair of dumbbells and on currently on week 1 of the Buff Dudes dumbbell only program.
