You know what it means. Hell, the LOLCat compliments it. But…if I must break it down for you, I shall.

JLO, CBear is good peoples and will bust your chops with a song in her heart, should you show signs of slacking. And when I say “bust your chops” I mean it as though she is taking a 24lb sledgehammer to a hummingbird’s head. She is brutal, but completely honest, and again, good peoples.

Hi.

Thank you all for the welcome. And Rodb, maybe Cbear busting my chops will help get me out of the ruts i get into. Thanks Hallowed. Hola MIM. Ate pretty good yesterday, no processed carbs, whoohoo. So hard to do since I love pasta and bread…
Work out today: besides all the warm up stuff we do:

30 DB X 4 X Turkish get up 2 each arm
30 DB X 8 X DB Snatch 8 each arm
BW X 12 X Sit ups
BW X 16 X push ups

4 rounds 18:02
I am not the koolaid drinker and time is not what I stive for so in putting it, It just keeps me on track instead of taking like a 5 minute break:)
No extra workout today, my legs and shoulders were on fire.

Oh is you dieting too? Man reading fail Hallowed!

I know lots about dieting. No processed carbs no sugar is an EXCELLENT RULE.

It only took me eighteen months to forget that I ‘love pasta’

LOL

One of our friends and coaches at the gym is from Ohio and has no problem doing this either. Is this typical of woman from Ohio?

We push each other and I do not see her as in a rut, she just falls off the wagon in regards to diet. Took me forever to convince her she doesnt need all those processed carbs.

can’t answer honestly, bc i get that from mom, who was born in jersey and grew up in NYC.

she doesn’t have to be on the wagon. she can look, feel, and perform below par.

fuck, being average is easy. that’s why so many people do it.

it’s up to her to make up her mind to stop eating shit food. she has to know she deserves better, and she has to live with herself every day.

oh hai there Lo!

^ I was being Light hearted about the Ohio comment, I tend to have a unique sense of humor.

I agree and will stay out of conversations she has in here. Being married we tend to not take advice from each other on some things. That is why I wanted her to start a log so she can get the female perspective that will help her out.

LOL, no I don’t think I put that I was dieting so you didn’t fail in the reading :), I have done strict paleo before, now just wanna do somewhat of paleo, i just need to cut the carbs. When I did paleo, i felt like caca for about 2 weeks, then it was great. I didn’t have the craving of pasta and sweets, it was great but i feel off the wagon :frowning:

:), HI!
I’ve gotten better, used to eat sweets like I was on death row. I can tell you mexican food is my weakness, but as long as I have DJ helping me with that, I should be fine. We don’t eat fast food and I don’t buy chips/cookies, etc that I know will only temp me. I just have to go grocery shopping when I’m not hungry, otherwise I buy everything in sight.

Paleo is a good healthy way of eating I do belive. I just dont do it. I eat my carbs timed around workout and believe they help me gain strength and don’t hurt my weight loss as long as I hit my calorie deficit (um which I have NOT BEEN DOING FOR WEEKS the shame the shame). As a rule though, no processed carbs, no sugar. I have made it a law. A law that I break on special occasions only but live that way 99.9% of the time. For example I have dessert occasioally coaches’ direction or I will have a piece of wedding or birthday cake that type of thing and count it as my cheat meal. day to day though, NO SUGAR def. no pasta def. no processed bread etc. etc. etc. I tend towards oats for my carbs. Anyway, I’m sure you know what works for you… it can be quite a process but if you’ve got the committment you’ll get there!

Wow, I’m taking over your log

no fast food
buy no chips soda candy ice cream junk food

these rules is EXCELLENT!

<—I can’t even have nut butter in the house anymore! OMG… well I found single serving size thank god… I’ve just had to face facts as facts and I am not to be trusted with a whole jar of the stuff.

aaaaand… a pic.

This is already a very entertaining log.

Speaking of pasta…I am making buttered angel hair noodles with grilled marinated shrimp this weekend. I’m taking this to a craw fish boil. nom nom nom

Mrs. DJ, I look forward to following your progress.

I’m looking forward to following along as well. I really don’t know how you all stick with the low carb thing. I’m kind of addressing everyone with the no pasta no processed carbs. The thought makes me weep. We eat pretty well; mostly because I’m too cheap to spring for crap. Whole foods are generally less expensive and make me fart a tiny bit less. However, the idea of low carbs makes me want to kill kittens.
