Hit 385 on the DL! I was going to do it twice but it would have been all back on the second rep. That being said, I did have a few pounds left in me and will try for 405 in a month or two.

I read an article from Elitefts recently about warming up to max attempts. Over the last few months I have been changing the way I do my main lifts to something similar, without even realizing it. I may lower the weight and increase the reps on those days that I’m not feeling too energetic.

We finally got some sun so I went and played soccer with my brother, just fooling around and staying loose. I have zero aerobic capacity right now.

Had to keep my bench volume in check today. Got rid of the shoulder stuff and will do that on the push day of the other rotation. Will probably pick a day and throw in some medial delt flyes randomly as I do need to build up my shoulders quite a bit.

Took a few days completely off and will do the Waterbury Method for a week. Everything will be toned down and all the other obvious BS. Doing a little more cardio this week as well.

Rode the stationary bike for 30 minutes.

Back at it full force starting today. You’ll see that over the next few days, some lifts have improved while most of the big ones dropped a few pounds. While that sucks, I have no doubt that it will be easily regained. Plus my body feels great right now; I have energy again.

Hit a 425lb dead! Endorphines were running high and I got lightheaded, but such a great feeling. I compromised a little on form, but at least I’m not psyched out by four plates anymore!
