JJackKrash's Training/Ski Log

Thanks LS. Joe, you need a prowler. That’s all there is to it.

Bench day, 3s, TM 260 (20 lbs. drop)

Bench: 45 x 30, 90 x15, 135 x 10, 185 x 3, 205 x3, 235 x 7 (meh).

IDBBench: 50 x10, 70 x 10, 90 x8.

Krocks: 110 x 10, 120 x 10, 130 x10, 140 x10.

DBBench: 75 x10, 10, 8.

BBRows: 135 x 10, 10, 20.

Pushups (feet on bench): 15.

Notes: My bench is still in the toilet, but today felt good. I kept the pace up and was sweating like a pig before it was over. I think I need to increase my frequency and get back to 4 workouts in 7 days if I am going to make any progress on bench.

Jack, training is looking solid. The bench will come back. Glad the prowler is living up to expectations.

lifts fluctuate, I have yet to find a way to keep all 3 always at their best. that’s why there are training cycles, I guess

Steve, Pete, thanks.

3’s day, Squats, TM 385.

Squats: 45 x 10, 135 x 10, 225 x5, 275 x3, 315 x 3, 345 x 7.

Front squats: 135 x 5, 225 x 5, 275 x1, 305 x 1 (PR +30), 315 x 0.

Notes: Happy fathers day! Got in, got out, had a good time. 305 felt easy on front squats, so I threw on 10 lbs. more and no go. My lower back was fried by then. Next time.

Side notes: The wife and I are looking at RVs to go camping in (that’s what my extended family does, so that’s that) and also to use as a home office. What a pain. We can’t decide motorhome or fifth wheel and a new truck.

A 30 lb PR was a pretty damn good Father’s Day present. Congrats!

That is an interesting idea…RV as home office.

Great PR, Jack. Looking strong.

I hope you and the crew had a good Father’s Day.

Nice front squats. I gotta man up on these more.

Didn’t take you for trailer trash. Goes to show you never can tell.

Get one of those awesome stainless steel looking ones. That would be awesome.

Excellent idea on the home office. Sounds like a tax deduction.

Props on the PR, it looks like Father’s day was really good to all the dads.

Impress them folk up yonder wit this here beaut. Ah, if only I could get me one.
Your front squats are getting seriously strong. Good lifting all around.

Harry, I put a bid in on that one, but unfortunately it did not exceed the reserve. I am going to have to find one a little more in my price range.

3’s day: Press. Ok scratch that.

Deads: 45 x10, 135 x 10, 225 x 5, 315 x 5, 365 x 3, 405 x4.

Deads: 315 x 10, 10, 10, 10, 10.

Notes: I was supposed to press a few days ago, but I had some distractions and one skipped day turned into another. I felt like I needed some real work, so I skipped to my 1’s day for deads. 405 felt ok, I had 1 or 2 in the tank. I almost lost my lunch after the BBB set. And I almost lost it again on the way home. It was my little way of paying penance for the missed work this week. I have not had much chance to catch up on other logs, I’ll try and do few at a time till I’m caught up.

Good job getting back to it. That’s alot of pulling.

Damn JJ, you’re a volume whore like me  I don’t think I could even manage 30 or so reps of anything resembling a deadlift! Nice!

315 on the BBB set is a lot of damn work, big pulling.

Good pulling here Jack. Crap… I need to start really getiing into my lifting again. Thanks for the motivation.

Hows the prowler treating you?

SFP asked about the “bucket handles” want me or you to explain this to him .

Rick

You must have felt sick after BBB with 315. Did you collapse on the floor after every set? Great workout.

Thanks for stopping in K, SteelyD and Joe, I appreciate it. Rick, you are probably the best conditioned mofo on here. But thanks for the props. The prowler needs more work, my schedule has been hectic, but I need to make it a priority. Steve, not every set, but the last two had me wondering what the f I was doing.

Bench day, 1’s, TM 260.

Bench: 45 x 30, 95 x 15, 135 x 10, 195 x 5, 225 x 3, 245 x 5.

DBIncline Bench: 50 x10, 70 x 10, 95 x 8.

Krock Rows: 120 x10, 130 x10, 140 x10, 150 x 10 (PHEW!)

DBBench: 80 x 10, 10, 8.

BB Rows: 135 x 10, 185 x 10, 235 x 5.

Notes: I felt pretty good today. My bench limit strength is poor, but I felt like I worked hard. The rows just about did me in. I am going to feel it tomorrow.

awesome rows indeed!

Jack, that was an enormous amount of work done. If you aren’t feeling it today then you aren’t human, but a machine.
