I got a call in to EFS now to check on the status. They are going to “get back with me.” I think you order from them (and pay), then they call a shop in VA or NC to make it, then that shop takes its sweet time and ships it when they damn well please.

In fairness, the cite does say expect 10-14 “business days” before it ships, and ground shipping can take over a week. They are still within that window. I am just impatient and want things right now.

Kimba, thanks, but I think I just got weaker, plain and simple.

I’ve gotten weaker too. But I’ll get stronger again and so will you. Two steps forward, one back and all that jazz.

Patience is truly a virtue

Where are you headed in your training now?

I’ll right Kimba, I’ll quit crying and get to it.

Rick, I really want to improve my conditioning and lean out and hopefully preserve some strength. I have had a head cold and sore throat for almost two weeks now that is really kicking my ass. I am chomping at the bit to get going–I may have to break down and see a doctor.

That stinks you’ve been sick. Hope you feel better soon.

Would it be wrong to say that we ENJOY eating? I know I do.
Rug, I love to eat. I can’t figure some of the kids on here who say they can’t eat enough to grow. I guess if all you eat is chicken breast and broccollin it would be tough, but I can hit 10,000 Kcals without batting an eyelash.
You’re killin me dude. I could eat the ass off a running horse. Got worse after 35 to. I’m not crushing pizzas every night but when I go to the state fair it’s on like Donkey Kong.

Great lifting BTW, those finishers always impress me.

Edit: Sorry you’ve been sick BTW, but given the fact that your training sessions shame me into the corner, I’ll bet you’ll be back up to par in no time.

I’m super surprised that your wife hasn’t kicked your ass to the doctor already.

Thanks Steve and Vires, for stopping in. Kimba, I may get kicked to the doctor today. I would rather squat, however.

Prowler update: shipped via UPS ground, should be here Monday.

Good news: I weighed in at 228 this morning, which is the least I have weighed since the first week of Smolov. Down from a high of 240+.

Ok, so, its bronchitis, sinus infection, and upper respiratory infection. Doc said a Z-pac should take care of it in a few days. I am going to push squats till tomorrow. Good thing I waited 2 weeks to get some antibiotics.

Glad you went to the doc. With all that, it would have been s rough row to hoe.

Good news you don’t have an alien inside of you getting you sick.

When you get all crazy on the Prowler use with caution. I would suggest on lower body days only at first to get used to it for about a month then slowly ramp up sessions. You still need to do the boring cardio too it is building your “foundation” for your explosive vomiting…err prowler work.

Start off with 3 passes of 40 yrds with 1 plate on, done as close to a sprint as possible. Every week add 1 pass till you get 7 then add a little weight (25) or add in a day of prowlers then stay with 4 passes and slowly ramp up again.

I am now at 24 passes a week with a total weight of 110 done over 4 days a week. This was done over 2 months to get here. I am not dieting at all and weight has come down 9 pounds.

If you want Pm me your weight routine and I can help with a “conditioning template” for ya.

Another investment is rings or blast straps for upper body work. and a hip belt (dip belt works great here) for really heavy pulls .

JK - Glad you are on the mend. I don’t care for doctors or drugs, but antibiotics can sure make things turn around in a hurry.

Congrats on the weight loss. It seems like people of have lifted at a heavier bodyweight might have an easier time getting back to their PR’s. I’m just guessing but it would be nice if true.

Doctor Love recommends a couple shots straight up and a sauna. Might not cure all but you’ll feel whole lot better. Have fun with the prowler. Nothing like a new toy.

Good choice getting yourself those drugs. It would’ve sucked total ass to feel poorly when your toy arrives.

Thanks for the love everyone.

Skip, thanks for checking in on me.

Harry, I like the way you think. Shit, last night was worst night I’ve had in a while. No sleep, and no squatting today, I spent most of the night in a make-shift sauna.

Kimba, we’ll see, I feel worse today than I have in two weeks.

OMP, thanks, I am hoping for a little muscle memory.

Rick, I was doing 5-3-1 on an 8 day week, basically one major lift and two or three asst. lifts every other day. I will likely go back to this when I feel a little better. Any conditioning programming tips would be appreciated. I already have elite rings, sand bags of various weights, and a sledge that I have not used in a while. I’ll send you a pm later when I get a chance.

No training news to report. Today is about the best I have felt in a while, but that is not saying much. Hopefully the prowler gets here today, we are heading east of the mountains (semi) camping in a few days and I would like to take it with us.

Also, I picked up some Vibram 5 finger KSO’s this weekend. I think I am going to really like them. I had to have them modified to accomodate my webbed toes on my left foot. My mother is an amateur seamstress and she did a great job with some nylon thread and seam glue.

For comparison:

Here is the offending foot:

JK - I don’t care what you call it.
That shit looks like swimming “gear” to me.

Glad you are feeling better.
