JJackKrash's Training/Ski Log

Nice work, Jack. You are really tearing this up. 335x5x7? Wow! Looking forward to seeing the end result.

Merry Christmas! Hope you and the family are settled in and have a great one.

Great work, Smolov wow you are a MAN.

nice work and have a great holiday.

Thats a lot of work, 35 total reps with 335. I make mean french toast. You have to use cinnamon raisin bread if you’re not already. My kids (and dog) eat it quicker then I can make it. Looking forward to seeing how this smolov workout progresses.

Good lifting JJ!

Now you know why I classify Smolov as a four letter word. If you have a pool nearby go swimming or just lounge in the water and move around a little it works great for recovery of the hips.

Merry Christmas

That killer 335 work is unbelievable! Nice job.

Have a great holiday, and eat up.

You still eating? You’ve had quite a year. Good lifting, your first meet, a major re-locate. Time to relax and enjoy the holidays. Have a great Christmas.

Thanks all for the well wishes and for stopping in. Eco, I’ll report my full thoughts on Smolov when its done. So far, its been a real experience. Harry, it has been a big year for us. I’m getting to know my family again, and its been great so far. And yes, I am still eating!

Smolov, Week 2, Day 4, Christmas Eve!

Squats: 45 x10, 90 x10, 135 x5, 185 x3, 225 x1, 275 x1, 315 x1, 355 x 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3.

Notes: Today was a tough day until set 7. Then it got real hard. But I got all my reps in and hit them all to depth. Now for some food and a nap, repeat.

Merry Christmas!

Great job, Jack. That is just brutal. Well deserved food and nap, repeat.

Merry Christmas, JJ. Thassalottasquattin!

Thats some hella squatting, Merry Christmas and enjoy Christmas dinner.

Merry Christmas Jack. Feed those tired legs today!

Hope everyone had a great holiday! We had a big breakfast and a great morning, the ham is cooking now for dinner. One of the older members of our party did end up t-boning a guy (who ran a red) on the way to our house this morning, air bags deployed, but no serious injuries. I spent a few hours this morning talking to cops, taking pictures, and waiting for his tow truck. Good times.

That sort of drama on Christmas AM is never a good thing, but sounds like you had it under control.

10 sets of 3 at twenty pounds more than last time? Sick. In a good way, of course.

Wish you all the best and safety in the coming year

My wife had to work, we celebrated a day early, went down and saw her at work. It is a delightful morning today, the ice and snow have passed, more family coming in this afternoon.

We had ham as well, I have to admit it just makes it seem like Christmas.

Hope everyone had a great Holiday!

Smolov base, week 3, day 2.

Squats: 45 x10, 90 x10, 135 x5, 185 x 3, 225 x 1, 275 x 1, 325 x7, 7, 7, 7, 7.

OHP: 45 x10, 90 x10, 135 x10, 155 x 5, 5, 5.

Notes: Another tough day on the hips and lower back, but I was not in as much pain as Sat. I cheated and took some ibu this morning.

This is also the second day in a row that someone snatched a collar off my bar in between working sets when I went for a drink of water–with my belt and wrist wraps hanging on the bar. Saturday, I didn’t notice and the weight had moved all the way to the edge during a set and I almost had a very big problem. The bars are bent slightly and the weight moves very easily without the collars. Now I check each time, but Jesus its not like there is a shortage of collars in the gym, they are all over the place.

Dang - you’re a machine! You must either be feeling like you have two car jacks attached to your hips right now - or two pieces of wood.

Put a big ole booger right on top of the collar. Guaranteed no one will want it…

Oddly enough, both.
