“We found papers on one of the suspects saying that their religious beliefs are more important than their lives, the prosperity of their families and even the well-being of their mothers. They were trying to perform a jihad,” said Shi Dagang, the Communist party secretary of Kashgar.
Reminds me of something Mohammed said:
“Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah has granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). To all (in Faith) has Allah promised good. But those who strive and fight has He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward.” (Surah 4:95)
Looks like the jihadists bit off more than they could chew:
I want to know what these scholars actually said. In the case of that one Egyptian scholar who used to be linked to Al-Qaeda, he never actually condemned jihad by the sword, he just condemned Al-Qaeda’s methods, which resulted in the killing of more Muslims.
He replied that while some ‘veteran’ jihadists were coming back from theatres of conflict like Afghanistan and Chechnya bitter and disillusioned, the number of people queuing up for violent jihad was growing.
He blames western foreign policy for playing into the hands of jihadi recruiters and says the UK government should do more to listen to Muslim grievances.
So the number of jihadists is growing, and we need to listen to more MUslim whining to prevent it. That’s all Muslims seem to do: whine. You Muslims really should try learning from the Jews, lixy, and invent something. There are only 16 million Jews world wide, yet they have far more Nobel prizes than the Muslims, who make up 1/6 of the world’s population. Perhaps if Muslims spent less time whining to the West and projecting their failures onto us, they’d get somewhere. Perhaps not.
Did Confucius say anything like Surah 9:5 or 9:29? If not, then you’ve made another irrelevant point.
Confucius was particularly anti-foreigner I believe… And besides, Mao certainly created a “religion” of communism and authoritarianism during his cultural revolution.

This is true. Yet if they are so “anti-foreigner” then why hold the Olympics at all?
And the cultural revolution’s ideals are dead. Ask Yao Ming’s mother:
