1 CORINTHIANS 1-25
“For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.”
1 CORINTHIANS 1-25
“For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.”
Why don’t you read it to yourself Zeb? At least then you’d have a willing audience.
And the angel of the lord came unto me, snatching me up from my place of slumber, and took me on high, and higher still until we moved through the spaces betwixt the air itself.
And he brought me into a vast farmland of our own midwest. And as we descended, cries of impending doom arose from the soil.
One thousand, nay, a million voices full of fear. And terror possessed me then. And I begged: ‘Angel of the lord, what are these tortured screams?’
And the angel said unto me: ‘These are the cries of the carrots. The cries of the carrots. You see, reverend Maynard, tomorrow is harvest day, and to them, it is the holocaust.’
And I sprang from my slumber drenched in sweat with the tears of one million terrified brothers and roared:
‘Hear me now, I have seen the light. They have a consciousness! They have a life! They have a soul. Damn you! Let the rabbits wear glasses. Save our brothers. Can I get an amen. Can I get a haleluia. Thank you, Jesus.’
Stop trespassing…
And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:
Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
Thus were both the daughers of Lot with child by their father.
Tool!
hahahahahaha love that track.
life feeds on life feeds on life…

Bahhh! Fear the Bible! Because the Bible says to fear the Bible! The Bible must be right! Why? Because it says so in the Bible!
MATTHEW 5-14 & 15:
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
“Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.”
Given that this is a commercial web site attempting to earn revenue, wouldn’t coopting the boards to spread your religion qualify as trespassing in the biblical sense?
There’s a commandment about that.
PSALM 74-22 & 23:
"Rise up, O God, and defend your cause; remember how fools mock you all day long.
Do not ignore the clamor of your adversaries the uproar of your enemies, which rises continually."
thou shalt not trespass upon anything that is thy neighbour’s, to take it from him, nor to destroy it
Let me ask you a question. Why do you think they took the politics section out of the top 30 listing?
Because all this religion is bad for business – that’s why.
You are trespassing on the property of another and doing damage, willfully and knowingly.
Oops.
MATTHEW 5-44
“But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

Perse is ass in finnish.

Just because we are fed up with your bible quoting and you frustrate the hell out of us, doesn’t mean you are being persecuted. That applied two thousand years ago when christians actually were persecuted. Now, christians run the fucking world, so give up the self-righteous “christianity under attack” bullshit. It is offensive to those who actually are still fighting for basic human rights and freedoms.

What is different about that and people throwing around unproven scientific theories? Both are based on faith and not fact.
The difference is that theories get adjusted as new facts become known. Really, they do.
Science is basically a process… one that continually grows and evolves as more becomes known.
Give it enough time and the logical conclusion is that it may eventually weight in on the question of God. How’s your faith?[/quote]
I know this is off topic, but when has the theory of evolution even be “adjusted”? When has the lack of evidence to support the millions of intermediary species (according to evolutionary theory) ever caused them to adjust or modify the hypothesis of evolution? Never!
You know there could be many other plausible theories for how man became to exist other than God. And yet despite the lack of evidence for the current macro evolutionary theory, the hypothesis remains. Sorry, but that is not the scientific process.

Vroom, would you be so critical about someone posting quotes from Buddha or some other religion other than Christian?
Be careful now as your political correctness is showing!

No. Your constant blather about “Political Correctness” shows your lack of comprehension and bias.
What Vroom–and everyone else–is annoyed with is Zeb being an annoying, trolling asshole who is trying to derail a thread with non-sequiters.
Whether these irrelevant quotes come from the bible or the necronomicon makes no difference. Zeb is, as usual, being a rude, self-righteous prick.

No. Science is not a leap of faith. It is, in fact the OPPOSITE of a leap of faith. Fossils, carbon dating, etc. These are not articles of faith. They are things that can be proven or disproven.
To further show you to be an incredibly thick moron, were you around 200 and something years ago? No. Then how do you know that the American Revolution took place? Do you believe in it based on faith?
Jackass.
Bones left in the ground can fossilize rather quickly.
Carbon dating is a myth.
On faith, I believe our history books since I was not around 200 years ago for the American revolution.
Boy harry, you are quite dumb to believe everything people tell you. Do your homework…you might actually learn something.
You no longer have any credibility whatsoever.

LOL.

Lorisco,
I’m not aware of any competing theories that better fit the evidence. I mean, there are certainly micro-theories within it, such as what causes mutations or changes and so on.
You miss the point though.
The theory of evolution fits what we know now. And, as you stated, of course the hypothesis remains, because nothing has been found that really appears to counter that theory.
If you can come up with a better SCIENTIFIC theory that works within evidence collected to date, then I’m sure the world would be happy to read your article when published in some peer reviewed journal.
Coming up with new theories is pretty hard to do. Look how long it took for us to figure out the world was round instead of flat. Your criticism of science is that it doesn’t have all the answers… but it doesn’t claim to.
What science has a lot of is unanswered questions. Theories are proposed and over time tested to see if they appear to be correct. The fact that it can take a lot of time to tell whether a prevailing theory is correct or not doesn’t have any bearing on whether or not it is in fact truly correct.
–
On another note, why are you concerned with the fact I’m pointing out what constitutes trespassing. If your own religion says you are trespassing, then why blame me for it?
I’m guessing I’d be annoyed at anyone of any belief system that started preaching in the politics forums and quoting scripture and nonsense instead of engaging in reasoned debate.
Trying the old PC tactic is pure bullshit, by the way.

The problem isn’t a lack of evidence. The problem here is only your stubborn ignorance. Fortunately, ignorance can be remedied. Read this: 29+ Evidences for Macroevolution: The Scientific Case for Common Descent
