Our Oline is better, but most talented far from it. We are missing a right tackle not sold on Free.

Our Dline right now has Hatcher. Thats it, they did not plan ahead, JJ could have got a quality Dlineman in the 1st and picked up Fredrick in the 2nd NOBODY had him on their radar. It was a reach. He has built no depth on the Dline and that bothers me
Oh I don’t think The Cowboy’s have the most talented lines in the NFL, I think the Cowboy’s have the most talented team. A possible most talented left tackle though.

Frerick in my opinion ia a great addition. Exactly what we needed. And yes nobody had him on their radar…The beauty of Jerry(and his staff)
If no one had him on their radar, a good management team would have taken him with a second round pick. Over-drafting, the beauty of Jerry(and his staff).
I can see where you are coming from. But, The Cowboys traded their 18th pick and got Fredrick and Williams with those picks. Pretty fucking good management move in my opinion.
You do know that most people consider the Escobar pick a wasted pick and Frederick to be overdrafted. Evan Silva gave the Cowboys a D, the lowest draft score of the year.

I know they do, but I don’t understand it. I can think of at least on receiver on almost every team that I would rather have than Bryant just because of his extra baggage. Similar to T.O., but not nearly as extreme.

I dont think draft grades are accurate until year 3

Escobar has potential again so lets see where this draft class is in 2015

With all do respect i don’t give a fuck what Silva gave our draft because he is wrong. Fredrick is a solid pick. Escobar has made some key plays for us so far, and is a part of our changing offensive package. Williams looks like a great pick right now. What Silva gave our picks pre-season will not be what he would give our picks post season

Is Silva that guy from NFL network who does the combine and draft? I do like that guy but still don’t care about his Draft grade

Like you said though, why not pick up a more in demand player first and Frederick in the second, forego Escobar and then your draft would have been more solid I think. Watching yall draft is about like watching my Giants draft. Painful.

Yeah, that’s a more apt comparison. I couldn’t think of one. I think most of your analysts got all starry eyed because he had a great season last year but he is going to have to prove he can do it more than once or twice before I am ready to crown him.

I think they drafted this way because they wanted those players. Fredricks needed. 31st pick, yeah we could have waited and still got him. But, that moves everyone else down or out. The Cowboy’s front office saw something in Escobar that they liked, personally I think it’s a Novacheck type player that they saw in him. And, i like that.

I’m not a Cowboys fan (Niners) but I agree with MBDix. Jones makes some questionable moves and he can be kind of an ass but he’s the type of owner you want for your team. He’s committed to putting a winning product on the field where most owners are just committed to putting a product on the field. The Cowboys go to the playoffs almost every year and they occasionally win superbowls. That’s not an accident, that’s because Jones tries really hard.
One guy here said Jerry isn’t a winner? Really? That dude is ‘winning’ so much at life that it is crazy. Also, a lot of people say that it is Jerry’s fault that the Cowboys have been stuck at 500 for a while. Well, if the Cowboys make a run and win big are these same people going to say it was because of Jerry?
Pretty much this. All-SWC OL and NCAA National Championship winner. Oil and gas tycoon. Bought one of the most popular sports franchises of all time with his play money, then turned them into the most valuable sports franchise in the country.

He kinda sucks as a GM, but fuck it, if I were an owner I’d probably be just like him, only I’d say more stupid shit to the media and get fined a lot.

Right on man! LOL. I think that is true for a lot of us on here.

National Champion, Oil Champion, Super Bowl Champion, Stadium Champion, Big Screen TV Champion. If Jerry is a non-winner, that’s what i want to be when i grow up

In case some people don’t know who i was referring to

This Guy

mbdix you a P1 by any chance? Cowboys are really surprising me this year. Seems like Jason Garrett is finally molding them into his kind of players. Luckily they are in a weak division and when they get into the playoffs anything can happen. Americas team. And whoever said Dez aint top tier is not very bright. Top 5 pick talent gotten late in the 1st rd.

Actually 2 years ago I thought the same thing.

However he should be smart enough to know where his faults lie, the problem is he believes his own press and thinks he is a good GM.

Agreed about the last part.

Problem is with the Cowboys people either love or hate them. There is no inbetween. So if you do not watch the games its easy to believe the ESPN’s of the world if you do not have the whole story.

I used to be a P1, but honestly kinda faded on me. I still stop by now and then. So, used to be a P1, not now. I agree with you on Dez.

Go Cowboys

Missed the part you wrote about Garret. To me watching the way this team approaches everything from the draft, camp, play on the field, I see a lot of Garret coming through. If The Cowboy’s can make it happen this year and win big, Jones and Garret have the chance to have something great. I think they make a great duo. They balance each other out.

Does anyone actually think Romo will win a Super Bowl before his career is over?

That’s crazy talk (even with your current Moss comparison)!!!

Dez IS a playmaker that I think just about any team would be happy to have. His baggage seems to be a thing of the past (time will tell) but I haven’t heard a peep about him negatively since the incident with his mother. I’d take him over every WR1 in the NFC East alone. There are few WR that I would put in the same category as him (some don’t put up the numbers anymore due to the crap around them tho- ie Fitzy)

It’s not like he is the only baggage a team has to deal with…
