Matty - I’m easing into it but I like it because it’s so convenient for me to do and it’s not boring.
GV - I’m definitely done taking antihistamines. I’ll definitely try the honey trick to see if it works for me.

Floor pressing looks awsome.
Sat training
Abs and calves
Deads: 105315 w/ 90 second rest between sets. - worst idea ever.
Front squats: 63185
Walking lunges w/ 20 lbs in each hand - 3 laps in the aerobics room
I’m switching from Cube to inverted Juggernaut. I have 20 weeks until my next meet and I want to load up with volume for the next couple of months.
The inverted part just refers to the rep scheme. Instead of doing 5 sets of 10 I’m doing 10 sets of 5. I’ll do the same with the sets of 8. There’s supposed to be 60 seconds of rest between sets but I’m not in that sort of shape yet.
james
Mon training
Bench: 105160 w/ 60 second rest between sets.
CGBP: 315135
DB Press (neutral grip) 3880
Dips: 310 - these are bothering my left bicep for some reason
Lying rolling tri ext: 310
Abs
Calves
Jump rope *170
I’m doing the 9 day version of Juggernaut which looks like dead, off, bench, back, off, squat, ohp, off, off. I like this because it increases my recovery time for squats and deads. It also gives me a dedicated back and bi’s day which should allow me to hit my back even harder.
I really concentrated on form during bench today which meant bar path and making sure I was completely tight throughout the lift. I’m hoping that all of this volume helps me to become better in the lifts from a technique standpoint.
james
Tues training
Back and bi’s
Face pulls: 810 increasing weight each set
Pendlay rows: 105165
Pull ups: 55
Shrugs: 3*10 - 405, 425, 455
BB Curls
DB curls
Abs
Jump rope
I warmed up with face pulls and really like that set up. I just kept doing sets moving the pin down one plate each set. Rows were pretty easy but the volume should hit hard.
I really hate curls.
On a side note, I cut out all grains but rice to see if it helps my stomach and so far it seems to be helping. So no oats, no bread, etc. Also no whey and no nuts.
james
I recently saw a Dr. on Dr. OZ talking about the evil of wheat and all wheat products. I think you may be on to something cutting out the grains.
Thurs training - squats
Pause squats: 105230 with 60 second rest between sets
Front squats: 63205
Walking lunges: 1.5 laps with 30lbs in each hand
Single leg press: 3*10
Pause squats kicked my ass and were my second worst idea ever. The short rest is brutal but it’s all about increasing my work capacity. I’m going to increase my front squats by keeping that weight and adding sets of three.
Squats kicked my ass and walking lunges were brutal. This is going to be a suck month.

Fri training - OHP
OHP: 105115 w/ 60 second rest
DB Press: 5680
Lat pull downs: 310
DB rows: 38*120
Abs
Quick session before work. Still beat from last night but this went pretty well. I’m going to try to do a bi-lateral and uni-lateral move for each lift (if I remember to).
james
It always amazes me how after having a killer day that leaves me thrashed, the next day’s lifting goes well and everything feels much better.

Truth. I did a handful of walking lunges to get the blood back in my legs too.

LIAR you did Prancersise!
The prancercise lady is hypnotic. That lady should be on Ellen or have her own talk show. I couldn’t stop laughing for a minute.
That vid has gone viral now. She’ll probably make a ton of money from the proceeds.
Sun training: - Deads
Deads: 103345 - 60 second rests
Front squats: 73205
RDL: 312225
Walking lunges: 2 laps w. 30lbs in each hand
Abs, calves, and 200 jumps of rope
This wasn’t as brutal as last week but it was still rough. I shortened the rest period from 90 seconds to 60 because it would seem that I’m actually pretty good at knocking out triples. Added an extra set of front squats and walking lunges.
james
Tues training - bench
Bench: 5bar, 95, 135, 155, 185, 205, 225. 103185 (60 second rest)
CGBP: 315155
DB Press: 38*80
Ab work
I added in the extra heavier benching before my volume work because I was feeling good. I think I’m going to keep it in the mix.
james
Weds training - back
Face pulls: 1010 various weights
Pendlay rows: 103185 60 second rest
Pull ups 55
DB Rows: 46140
Shrugs: 215*315
Ab work
I was supposed to do bi’s too but I just wasn’t in the mood after all that work. Although it looks pretty wimpy when I write it down. I did the DB rows from a dead stop each time which was pretty tough.
james
Good conditioning and lots of heavy volume will add up to nice gains, it all looks good.
If you had done bi’s after all of that rowing your arms would have fallen off.
GV - that’s what I’m hoping for. We’ll see how this all pans out in October.
Joe - I actually think that would have been the result.
