James' First Ever Training Log

Hi all

Just creating this so I have somewhere to track all my logs since I’m on my third log book at home and it’s nice to have everything in one place.

Stats

Age: 20
Height: 173cm (5’8")
Weight: Still needing to weigh myself in the morning before eating but around 78-80kgs

Background

Don’t want to write too much here but started lifting halfway through 2006 due to a knee injury and needed surgery. Got hooked from there and haven’t stopped lifting since but still have a lot to learn.

Numbers

Did 1RM testing a while ago and could only test a couple of lifts due to injury so those numbers won’t be so relevant now as some lifts have dropped while others have gone up but here are my current numbers as of last week and this week…

Front Squat: 3x5 105kg ATG (1RM 125kg last year)
Bench Press: 3x5 90kg
Weighted Chin up: 3x5 BW + 22.5kg
Deadlift: 1x5 140kg (155kg x5 is my PR)
Push Press: 4x4 60kg (just got the form down recently)
Hip Thrust: 4x6 105kg

Going to start logging from yesterdays workout, this is the fourth week into my new programme so here we go…

Front Foot Elevated Reverse Lunge:
22.5kg DBs x12x2

Bench:
90kg x5x3 (3sets of 5)
Superset w/
Plyo Pushup
BW x4

BW x3

Weighted Chin:
BW + 22.5kg x5x3
Superset w/
Med Ball Slam:
4kg x10
4kg x9x2

Pallof Press:
36kgs x10x3

Inverted Row:
BW + 20kgs x10
BW + 20kgs x9
BW + 20kgs x7x2
Superset w/
Incline Squeeze Press:
17.5kg DBs x7x2
17.5kg DBs x6x2
(couldn’t do incline alt db press due to DBs being used but I might start using this exercise instead)
