It’s a homemade wooden ‘prowler’ dubbed the GROWLER!

That is awesome sir, I need to start making some stuff, do you have the specs on it by chance?

Camera has been misplaced… Sorry, but the measurements are simple enough. It’s 36 inches front to back and 36 inches wide and made of 2x6 (three layers) with a slot in the cross piece that accepts the straight forward part (attaches with a tractor pin). I used 2 in fence post for the uprights for pushing and there is another steel pipe at center for loading plates. The skids are wooden with bent metal plates screwed on, but we mainly keep carpet over them to use it indoors.

July 1st
Fat Bar Floor Press 70x10, 120x5, 160x3, 210x1, 230x1, 250x1, 270x1, 280x1, 290x0, 250x1, 1, 260x1, 1, 1, 160x10, 10, 10
DB Later Raises 20x8, 8, 8
Reverse Curls (dropsets) 50x5, 40x5, 30x5, 20x5
BB Curls (dropsets) 50x5, 40x5, 30x5, 20x5

July 2nd
DE SSB 80x10, 170x5, add AVG x3, 260x2, 280x2, 2, 2, 300x2, 2, 280x2, 260x2, 2, 2
DE Deadlifts 135x5, 225x3, add Lights x1, 275x1, 315x1, 335x1, 355x1, 315x1, 275x1
GMs 195x10, 235x10, (add belt) 285x10
DB Lateral Raises 10x20, 20

Really jacked up the intensity on the dynamic work and it went well!

Dude when I first started reading this, I thought you were giving directions on how to make your denim squat suit…I knew you were a gear whore, but that shit was ridiculous!

Hahaha… Squat suits should be made of wood and steel though… and hydraulic cylinders…

July 6th
ME SSB + Chains 80x10, 170x5, 260x3, add 3 chains per side x1, 310x1, 350x1, add wraps 400x1, 430x1, 450x1 (slightly higher box on this one), 410x1, 1, 1
Block Pulls (6 inch blocks) 315 + 7 chains per side x1, 315 + 3 chains per side x10

So, we got some chains and it was play time. Was a really good session though. 450 with chains was where I was hoping to get to. Looking forward to some shirted benching on Friday.

July 7th
Recovery Session
BW Ham Curls x10, 10, 10
Goblet Squats to low box 50x10, 10, 10

Sure thing. I found the camera, maybe tomorrow I’ll remember and take a photo.

July 8th
Bench Press 45x10, 95x5, 135x5, 185x1, 225x1, 250x1, 270x1, 285x1, 300x1
Shirted Bench 5 bd 315x3, 4 bd 315x3, 3 bd 315x1, 2 bd 315x1, 1 bd 315x0
Band Pull-Aparts monster mini x30, 30, 30

That took forever… I don’t think my shirt is fitting quite right yet. It is nice and tight in the arms and shoulders now, but I think the chest plate is still too big even after I took it in, so I guess I gotta do it again.

Tomorrow DE squat and dead with chains!

Dang wish I could’ve seen the 300 press! Awesome!

July 9th
DE Dead 135+3 chains/side x5, 225x3, 315x1, 365x1, 315x1, 365x1, 315x1, 1, 225x1
DE Squats 80x5, add 3 chains/side x1, 170x2, 260x2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2
Sumo SLDLs 225x10, 10, 20
Leg Press 2 plates per side + Strong Bands (feet low on plate) x10, 10, 10

July 11th

DB Lateral Raises 20x10, 10, 10
Tried Pec Dec… don’t like it…
Incline 95x to the burn, to the burn, to the pain
BB Curls 50x7, 30x7, 20x7, Reverse Curls 50x7, 30x7, 20x7 all on long set with no stopping

Tomorrow is deadlift day! I am hoping for good things!

July 12th
Deadlift (conventional) 135x7, 225x3, 315x1, 405x1, 455x1, 485x1, 525x1, 555x1!, 495x1, 1, 1
SSB GM 80x10, 130x10, 170x10, 10, 10 (squat stance, deadlift stance, wide)
Ab Wheel BWx20, 15
Band back traction.

So, that was a 10 lb deadlift PR and a 20 lb conventional deadlift PR. Pretty happy with that. I didn’t have much more in the tank though, as it was all upper back at the lockout. At least I know what I need to work on though. Upper back can never be strong enough. Reverse band deads here I come!

Nice pull! 10 lbs closer to 605…

BALLER! did you get vid? i love vids! wish i could be there on mondays. seems like i keep missing some good stuff.

Bob was present at said event. Sadly no video. It was nice rounded upper back style with a super slow lockout!
