June 22nd
Squat 55x10, 145x5, 235x3, 325x1, 415x1, add Frankenbriefs x1, add Denim Suit (straps down) 505x1, straps up and knee wraps 555x1, 600x1, add reverse strong bands 650x1
Deadlift (sumo in suit) 135x1, 315x1, 405x1, 495x1, 585x0.9 …couldn’t get my shoulders back at lockout…

So, that went well. The geared squatting was pretty easy actually and I think that with a bit more overload work that 700 could go pretty easily. I’ll probably get a 600 deadlift in gear pretty soon as well just got to learn to use the gear a little better.

Very nice. Free squats, or to a box? How’d it feel?

Now I want to throw on a suit and see what happens.

Just down to touch a box. It felt really good. The overload was awesome and will make anything I raw squat feel light when unracked. It’s kind of a different battle… with a raw squat on the way down you are thinking oh crap this will be hard out of the hole, but in gear I was thinking stay tight… oh crap my blood pressure is spiking am I gonna black out… I don’t think I was quite near it, but that was the feeling and I am sure the heavier you go the closer you get.

Thanks, not sure when the next time I’ll put the suit on will be though. It’s just something fun to play with right now.

I will be doing a geared push pull in September though. Provided I get my shirt sewn back together and figured out by then.

Reverse band SSB was brutal… as were the SSB GMs.
