Bench

TM: 60kg

Mobility:

  • Thoracic Spine, Ankles and Shoulder Mobility
  • Lazy Lifter

Warm-Up:

  • 25x5/30x5/35x5 Bench, ss with
  • 3x5 Med Ball Chest Throws

Bench:

  • 45x5
  • 50x5
  • 57.5x5 Rep PR
  • 62.5x2 (1st Joker, 105% TM)
  • 70x1 (2nd Joker, 115% TM) PR

Press, FSL:

  • 20x some
  • 30x5x5 (just realised now that this was meant to round up to 32.5. I’m not too worried though, bar moved nicely)

Assistance:

Circuit 1:

  • Seated DB Shoulder Press: 25x10, 30x3x10, 30x9+1
  • Face Pulls: 45x5x10
  • Goblet Split Squats: 17.5x5x10

Circuit 2:

  • Chest-Supported DB Rows: 30x10, 35x4x10
  • Incline Skullcrushers: 22.5x10, 25x4x10
  • Ab Wheels: 5x10

Totals:

  • 100 for all categories

Time (Excluding Mobility):

Notes:

  • Assistance was f***ing hard
  • Arching less on the bench press. Mostly to try and preserve the spine, partly to look like less of a dropkick setting up

In my defense, FSL work is super light - like 60-70% of a 1RM - but yeah, that would be strange. :laughing:

You fellas have Droids or iPhones? I know with my droid I can prop the phone up on a shelf and use palm motion to capture a picture - eliminates the need for over the shoulder angles and such.

Much improved!! Like the tightness and arch.

If you can move your head as close to the end of the bench as possible, this will make the unrack easier.

Once you unrack the weight let it settle before beginning the lift. Just a split second pause at the top will let you have better control.

The rest will come from reps reps RAPS!!!
