I've Got A Bar And I'm Not Afraid To Use It - Pinkylifting Log

I’m doing the best I can with a 25lb kB, a 45lb kB and an 11lb paint can :joy:
Nothing can compare with big lifts :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes::stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
If gyms don’t keep shutting down, I hope to get 3plate dead and 2 plate squat by 2022

At least ur staying positive. KB split squats will go a long way to getting thicc which will go a long way towards those goals. We may have discussed something along these lines before I think lol

I feel u on big lifts. Nothing quite like the rush. The emotions. For myself 300kg seems possible now. May take a year but that it’s even conceivable at all is pretty cool. Halfway thru last year 260/6 plates felt forever away or even never

Based on your recent 250 pauses Id say 300 looks really damn close.

I want the thicc without the burn, thats why I love my heavy squats. I guess im not lifting heavy enough for a rush, dont get that

Getting closer with every little rep PB. I’m pretty proficient on pauses so can work at like 85-95% of comp style max so it’s not like I now have the power to rag doll 270-280 for many reps just for having paused 250 for a few. Maybe in a few weeks though lel

High rep high relative intensity is a unique kind of hard. To push into the burn. A set of 6 on squats is bad enough.

Very true, though honestly the worst torture for me is anything high rep to failure on squat pattern.

Looks like my break from home workouts was a one day wonder. UK back into full lockdown.

Unlucky bruz. Enjoy ur bodyweight squats to failure I guess

Dont even have my kettlebell with me anymore, so literally bodyweight only.

You got room for a home gym in the new place?

I do! Good sized garage that I’ve already called dibs on. Current timeline looks like we could be moving in March, possible as early as late Feb.

rack, power bar, floor mats and 2-300kg of plates will be my first purchase.

Then deadlift bar. A powerlifting gym in the city just closed and are auctioning all their equipment so me and the boiz are trying to snap up a Texas deadlift bar

Fantastic news, get searching now, as I’m sure you’re aware kit is seriously in demand! (This is currently in stock…Strength Shop Garage Cage - 1.85m high very similar to my rack, decent rack).

Looks like Russian magic isn’t that effective anymore :joy::joy:

Thats the exact one I have my eye on actually, I feel like with the pull up bars and dip station this really is everything I use in a gym (once i have the barbell and plates ofcourse). Might eventually get a cable pulldown type attachment if im trreating myself.

I have three different chin up bars the one on this rack is my favourite, dip attachments are solid enough, I’m currently sitting at 94kg and have had extra weight added (I think up to 40kg but I could be wrong) no problems whatsoever.

I got the web straps for catchers, a worthwhile upgrade imo.

I bought a cheap plate loaded cable cross machine (Argos job) instead of the cable attachment allows a bit more versatility, but probably not as good on quality.
