I’m hoping it’s some sort of IT band issue, had that with my other knee and it went away with stretching. Doesn’t feel anywhere as bad as last time so fingers crossed.

Have you foam rolled the ITB on that side to see if it lights up. Whenever by ITB was tight I could always tell from rolling it. Have you been running the shower alternate hot and cold on that leg? I would do that every shower.

A little foam rolling but not as much as I should. Both sides light up for sure though, but most of my body does.

Haven’t tried hot and cold showers, I’ll give that a shot.

Amen to that.

Physio this morning and luckily its not my meniscus, its just an epic level of IT band and TFL stiffness. Apprently they might as well be steel rods they are so stiff.

So no running at all between now and race day, just lots of aggressive foam rolling and then wing it for the race in 2.5 weeks.

Good it isn’t a tear, not good that you can’t run b4 the race. This is going to make it even tougher. Good luck with it mate.

Are gyms still closed or are you staying away ?

Simply that I have a home gym, so no need for a gym membership, nor travel thereto. I can do everything I would do at a gym now, so I just never renewed. As far as o know gyms are all open here.

fair play, a lot of people are in the same boat now. Got lots of equipment through lockdown so have decided its more convenient to train at home and they can still do everything they need. I am lucky to have both options and the gym is so close (2km) to my house that its not a big commute.
