Well, frustrating day.
I have been taking the last few days off from work so I can move into my new house(yaaay)
This morning, I decided to drop in a local gym that’s close to where I live just to get some squats in. It was a fuss. This must be what everyone is complaining about! I’m switching off the 5/3/1 for a bit and doing a bit more high volume.
Anyway, I’m doing working sets of squats at 155. A guy is behind me creepin. I don’t think much of it until he comes up and says “That’s a lot of weight…are you sure that’s what you should be doing? Heavy weights just going to ruin your pretty legs. You don’t want to look manly, do you?”
WTF.
If I was going to get “manly” I’d already be there, dick. Im so used to being at the training complex that I forgot what this environment was like. I just smiled and said “I’ll be alright.”
So that’s who is spreading this heavy-weights-makes-you-bulky bologna.
Anyway. Then I had a lot of people stop me and ask me how our basketball/football/baseball/gymnastics/basket weaving teams are this year. I don’t really fucking know. I’m an S&C person, not the coach. On game day, I wrap ankles and e-stim people. I know little more than weight room stats and nagging injuries. Oh well. I smiled and said vague shit regarding that as well.

yes. except when there aren’t any strong men around and then you are left feeling like an amazonian freak. my gym varies a lot. i’ve had times when a bunch of people seem to be really into their thing and really training with intensity. but some kind of turn taking is taking place and people are silently acknowledging the work of others. and then i’ve had times when idiots walk in front of me / stand in front of me when i’m about to lift or roll my (to them ‘trivial’) weights off their deadlift platform…
it is crazy though, huh. sometimes i’ll even venture next door… things are mostly worse over there… most of them have never seen a girl pick up more than 2kg and certainly not more than 5kg (or perhaps the 10kg lightest bar for quarter squats/lunges). the whole time i was training in there (while rehabbing) i never saw a girl do that. and to be fair… i never saw many guys lift very much more than that either. i actually feel bad doing rehab shit in there now. used the 20kg dumbell for my step ups today (heaviest one in the circuit room). it was work to be sure. and, yeah, thats right, other people aren’t really working in there…
of course they will pick at you. you work too hard. i mean… the other alternative is that they don’t work hard enough. and their ego is hardly going to accept that. too bad you are hot. must be really hard for them ![]()

There was a guy here(Alpha) who did insane training, such as yourself. He wasn’t able to show his face either, due to working for the government, etc but he wore a cap lowly slung and most of his vids were from the side or from behind or at some crazy angle.
