It's all about the journey

Lol, that’s exactly what the guy I call ‘orgasm guy’ does. I have to turn my music way up to prevent me from going over there and hitting him.

Ah, it makes a lot more sense that it’s a program, I wasn’t really sure what was going on.

I spent this weekend hanging with my family, enjoy it!

Patch: Ahahahahahaha! I have a woman in the apartment above me that likes putting on a show once in a while. She picked a night where one of my friends was staying over for the night right after I got my wisdom tooth removed. It woke us up and we both laughed about it.

FK: It was an opportunity lost, for sure. Oh wells.

lula: Good to know every gym has at least one of those guys. I suggest we gang up and beat them.

Ew grunty gym guys, yeah not my favourite. I went to one gym where alot of that happened. Even though I would say my current gym has a lot harder men, lifting way more weight, there isn’t that much noise as the old poser gym I used to go to, with their ‘womens’ section.

Had some huge douchebaggery in the gym I went to today. The YMCA I went to actually separates the free weights from the machines and puts them in the basement! Crazy! The most hilarious part of my workout was watching this guy try to be all buff. First exercise he did was bench press. Okay. Benching 245. Okay. He starts benching and all I hear is “Ungh, ungh, UNgh, UNGh, UNGH!” I look over and every time the bar hits his chest (it wasn’t touching, it was hitting and rebounding), his feet fly in the air. Douchebag squeeze toy. Weighted pushups were the same. “Ungh, ungh, UNgh, UNGh, UNGH!” All I could think about was how this guy must think he’s The Shit in bed and he’s probably one of the worst ever. I almost burst out laughing at him. Almost.[/quote]

BAHAHAHAHA!
Can you imagine? He assumes starfish position… and contributes ungh ungh ungh to the action.

vomit

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

OMG! I wouldn’t be able to concentrate at all if a guy did that. At that point, his clothes would go over the balcony as punishment. Except his socks. So much more embarrassing that way

5/3/1 Cycle 1, Week 1: 12/02/21

Warmups:
5 minutes on the elliptical
knee rehab
Agile 8

Deadlift:
95x5
115x5
135x5
155x5+ → Managed a total of 8 reps before my lower back started to tire out. I pulled the plug there. Been a long time since I did deadlifts for volume. Puketastic.

Power shrugs:
135x5x3

Squats:
45x10x5
Stretched my quads after each set. Seems to help keep my knees happier with me. My left knee is still a little achy but it’s not hurt. Just tired.

Ab wheel:
BWx8x3

Stretching and steam room. Done.

It’s good for you.

5/3/1 Cycle 1, Week 1: 12/02/22

Warmups:
5 minutes on the elliptical
knee rehab
Agile 8

2 Board Bench:
45x5
55x5
65x5
75x5
85x5+ → 10 reps. Woo rep PR!

A1) Tricep pullovers: 30x10x5
A2) OHP: 30x10x5
A3) DB rows: 25x10x5

Stretch and steam room.

Stupid ab wheel! It’s hard to bench when your abs are sore :stuck_out_tongue:

That rep PR puts you damn near that 115 for a 1RM. Keep reverse mathing that bad boy to know what you need to hit for reps next week.

Told you going to the gym today was good for you! Nice work

Yeahh benching!

The first few times I did the ab wheel it was hard to sit up out of bed the next morning, but now it doesn’t make me sore at all. KINDA WISH IT DID THOUGH, I like that feeling (sorta).

I always really sucked at the ab wheel…don’t want to suck at it though.

Ab wheels are the pits. Do you do them starting from your knees or standing?

kilt: Yeah, I felt better after going. My traps are flipping killing me, though :stuck_out_tongue:

Spock: Thank goodness it didn’t hurt that bad. It does hurt to laugh

MiM: Sucking at the ab wheel is no fun. My lower back starts to tire out from doing them, too.

cleanslater: Doing them from my knees is tough enough for me  I’d consider myself a rockstar if I could do them from my toes.

Ugh. Today was an off day. Stretching and lax ball awesomeness while watching curling  I’m going to bed later than I should just so I can watch all of it. I’m that addicted :stuck_out_tongue:

oh thank goodness–i didn’t even know people did them off their toes!? ha!

hm, i told myself i’d come home and stretch and i’m just sitting here on some heat. thanks for the reminder…i’ll get on that tomorrow

lula: Go watch Ross Enamait do the ab wheel. He’s a machine with that thing!

5/3/1 Cycle 1, Week 1: 12/02/24

Warmups:
5 minutes on the elliptical
knee rehab
Agile 8

Squat:
45x5
55x5
60x5
70x5
75x5+ → 10 reps. Stopped there even though I had more in the tank. I’ve put a limit of 10 reps on the lower body lifts just to save my knees, overall.

OHP:
30x5
40x5
45x5
55x5+ → 10 reps. The last two were grinders but I got them

A1) Bench: 45x10x5
A2) Sumo DLs: 95x10x5

Ab wheel x8x3

Stretching and steam room.

OH. MY. GOD. My ass and hamstrings are SORE. Sumos absolutely destroyed me. I’m dreading the rest of this weekend because I’m sure my body is going to punish me. I’ll be happy if I can walk tomorrow.

Nice workout. Like the deadlift mix a ton.

Well, thankfully I could walk this weekend. I have to say, I like what my workouts have been doing for my ass

5/3/1 Cycle 1, Week 2: 12/02/27

Warmups:
5 minutes on the elliptical
knee rehab
Agile 8

DLs:
95x5
115x5
125x3
145x3
160x3+ → 8 reps

Power shrugs: 135x5x3

Squats: 55x10x5

Assisted pullups: (-75)x5x3

Ab wheel x8x2

Stretching and steam room.

Yet again with DLs, my lower back started to tire out and my form started to go so I stopped at 8 reps. Had to switch my grip around a couple times. Weak, weak grip :stuck_out_tongue: Squats felt good and tight. The best part is my knee feels pretty good right now. I’m still going to ice it  Pre-hab is the best thing ever

You have no idea how confused I got trying to read the dates of your workouts! derp derp

Ahahahaha! Year/Month/Day. Habit I picked up from how we date stuff at work :stuck_out_tongue:

it only took me a week and a half to figure out :stuck_out_tongue:
