Very well done! That pull looked great and that’s definitely close enough to 2x BW.
Sorry to hear about your coach and I wish him a smooth recovery.

Nice pull Snap. I’m glad you had a lot of fun. It looked good. 232 isn’t far off; just a form tweak.

WTG!!!
well we all knew that pull wasn’t going to be an issue ![]()
So dang sorry about your coach, I’ll be curious to see with his age, but with his competitiveness if the doc’s will say, yes, we’ll fix it all so he can continue to do what he enjoys.
My doc said the bicep could detach itself completely and just heal, only changed his mind when I explained my PL passions.
prayers sent for the best news.

I just put in one squat and one bench to get to the deadlift. Neither lift was challenging weight-wise. I will say that the judges were the strictest I’d ever seen in terms of squat depth. I went down to the floor and waited till my coach told me to come up. Or it felt that way.
I don’t say it often, but I really enjoy and appreciate the connections I’ve forged through this site. It’s really a nice, supportive community of iron lovers here, and I so enjoy it.
I’ve decided to start Fischer’s program. He posted a template of a program he designed some time ago, and it really intrigued me at the time. Like 5/3/1, it’s a slower progressing program than I usually follow and really has a mix of set/rep ranges for the big lifts. But it’s more palatable to me than 5/3/1 since it doesn’t focus on repping out, which probably isn’t a good fit with my personality. It will be challenging and quite different for me. And I’m excited about it.
hot damn on the record Snap!!!
sending some prayers out for Snapper Coach. (I kinda transformed him into a wicked kickass santa in my mind ![]()
always intrigued by new programs and looking forward to see how it goes for you.
That new program sounds interesting. Sometimes something new help perk up our interest.
When I stall out on 5/3/1 I think I’m going to try something else for a bit instead of resetting. No idea what.
Its always nice to have someone that can relate …even if on the web.
Sounds like a lot of variety in the program you picked, im excited to see how you progress.
I really feel like the last few months your body is getting even more brick shit house-ish,
say that 10 times haha ![]()
