Good session today. Just over 90 minutes including everything.

Last night was our proposal submit party and I consumed many beers. Was also told to take a couple of “Mental Health” days, so I’m off work until Monday doing some R&R like this session.[/quote]

Seems to me like you earned more than 2 comp days…

Well the OT pay helps…

From a few days ago, “A little bit is better than nothing”… absolutely. It keeps you in the game. I’ll have to remember that one.

I was sore and not to sure how things would go today but it turned out alright once I got going.

Early season ride today. The unseasonably warm weather allowed me to get in the first ride of the year. Just out and around the neighborhood.
8.4 miles
70 minutes
1100 feet climbing
max HR 149
avg HR 136
Not a stressing ride but I feel it in my legs.

Wado class tonight. Non-stop movement for 75 minutes, I think I sweated out 3 pounds…

No kidding

Deadlifts look great and your bike rides blow me away brother.Nice work!

Hey, the bike rides with corresponding topographic maps are back! Pictures can’t be far behind. (hint hint)

Thanks guys!

Pictures are more interesting when I actually get on the trails instead of just around the neighborhood. Might go after work on Thursday with crazy Larry.

DB OHP R 47.5x5/5/5/5/5 L 47.5x5/5/5/5/5

That took me 90 minutes total. Must have been resting too much. I any case, I got too hungry to bike afterwards. I am pleased with the way my upper body strength is progressing for this past month.

Solo dog, great work mixing the biking with the lifting with the Wado. Very rounded training.

Thanks eco!

I like it - but I think I’m finding that I want to do too much all at once for my body to recover properly. We’ll see with time…

It’s video night! Inspired by skid’s coming out videos, I recorded the following for critique:

1st Squat set at 215#

Final set at 215# (sorry about the makeshift safety rails)

Sumo DL 315# Baseline PR (I’ve never done heavy sumo’s before tonight and I know this is not my max)

That’s it. PM me your address. I want to send you my squat stands.

Seriously.

Won’t be able to do it until after the 15th, but you need something safer than that to take the bar off of.

And I shall have something within the next couple of months, once the remodel is finished and I can move all the stuff out of my room. Until then I make do and if the weights keep going up I’ll start doing my squats at the gym at work. Thanks for the concern!

Sorry for the tone - I’ve been up for two days, makes me kind of abrupt. It’s just that once you get past a certain percentage of bodyweight on squats you want to be able to just walk up to the supports and slide it down to the hooks. Anything else is asking for heavy things to fall on you.

But you’ve got plan, I’ll butt out.

I didn’t take it amiss bro! I read it as concern because I know that bench rack is rickety.

Oh - and the squats looked good. Nice and controlled.

On the trail again. Right on Bro!
