It Is a Log After All, Who Knew?

Anyone know how to change the title of a thread? This turned into a log…

I think you can change the title by clicking “edit” on the first post. Very nice work, by the way.

Pefect! Thanks!

Sorry it took me so long to get over hear. Yeah, I’ve been slacking.

Workouts look great! Strong with strength to spare… Saw the vid one Steve’s (?) log. Awesome!

I agree 100% on the workout music. It has to be hard, have energy to spare and fire me up in some manner. And, no, death metal doesn’t qualify. I like energy, anger, defiance…not demonic.
I listen to CDs, as I workout at home and hate things in my ears. Last CD I burned has…Disturbed (The Sickness, Ten Thousand Fists and Indestructible), Godsmack (I Stand Alone), Three days Grace (Riot, I Hate Everything About You and Animal I Have Become), Crossfade (Cold), Flyleaf (All Around Me), Linkin Park (No More Sorrow). Indestructible and Riot get me amped the most.

Great work. Looking forward to keeping track of you.

Edit: Turns out it was Meat’s log that the vid was in. My bad.

Thanks for Stopping in LS! I really like your tunes I will have to check out some of the ones I havn’t heard before. (Flyleaf) Ever listen to Soul Fly?

Today was all about active recovery for me. Foam Roller, stretch, HIT, and Hot tub. Feel like a million bucks!

So who all is going to the gym tommorow? I will be there when the doors open at 7;00 and then enjoy the rest of the holiday!

Everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving!

My plan is to hit the basement around 10:30 am tomorrow and set a deadlift rep PR with 500lbs. Couldn’t think of a better way to start a holiday.

Have a great Thanksgiving.

I will be stuck in my Durango driving to see inlaws tomorrow. With a toddler who just got out of diapers and a pregnant wife my guess is the 7 hours drive will be more like 17 hours due to potty breaks. Saturday it looks like I have arrangements to train with a tidy little PL crew though…

I’ll be there about 4:15 am I’m looking forward to it.

Colin, looking strong, good luck on your quest to play football again. What’s the saying “Experience and guile will beat youth and inexperience every time” or something like that. I’m sure I butchered the quote At least that’s what I tell my self. I lost my shuffle, right now I don’t listen to any music.

What’s the difference in A1 and C1? BTW, loved the vid of you benching on the other thread.

I don’t know Chief, my guess is it is some sort of pre-exhaustion technique that CT uses to flush the muscle. Obviously this day really strains my bum shoulder. I’m just doing the work out as written (this time, lol) and trying not to come up with excuses why I should stop and go back to power lifting.

Some of the workouts give me WTF moments but I figure he looks a hell of allot better than me so I should just STFU and push through 12 weeks and see what happens. I already dumped all the supplements in the plan to just a multi and some protein…

That is an old video, I should probably pick a bench meet and get some new material!

Colin, just took the time to listen to some of Soulfly’s music. I really like the music. Definitely something you can lift to. It’s the “singing” that gets me. Sounds like Azazel, not a guy

Makes me think of several years back when I joked that I was going to write a book/play called “Southern Hell.” The main character was going to be a Copenhagen dipping demon named Beelzebubba.

The vid is part of your T-character. Right with Charlie Brown and the zebra speedo. Keep rockin bro.

@LS - “Beelzebubba” that is funny as hell you should write a whole screen play around that!

*120 Seconds between A1 and A2
A1. Squats - Warm up blah blah blah 3 waves 365x3, 385x2, 405x1, 365x3, 385x2, 405x1, 365x3, 385x2, 405x1
A2. Standing Calves - 9x15-20@400

Treadmill 30 minutes

Everything moved pretty easy and fast. I was tempted to ditch the waves and keep going up for singles just to see what I could do but I didnt have a spotter, and I reminded myself I have not squated in over a year and a half. Weight is now at 258 a little higher than what I expected it to be but overall I like the results I am seeing.

Nice squats! I’d have been done after the 1st wave.
I’ll have to give some thought to scribing that. I’m not the best at humor, but worth a shot.

*120 Seconds between sets

A1 - Bench - Warm up = (Bar, 135, 225, 250x5) 275x3, 300x2, 315x1 (*Then my spotter walked in) 315x3, 335x2, 350x1, 315x3, 335x2, 350x1, 315x3, 335x2, 350x1

A2 - Seated Rows = 9x6@160 *Slow & controlled and squeezed at the peak

Energy work jump rope 15 sec’s on 15 sec rest x 15 Sets

Active recovery and energy work. Hit for 15 minutes, then 35 minutes of steady state. Then foam rolling, stretching, and the hot tub.

I like gym days like this one!

Colin, your lifts are looking strong. Keep it up.
