yeesh, bb.com much
300 your ignorant, go type your 3 pages of B.S somewhere where ignorant people would listen.
Rippemanewone, you are putting yourself across as an overly cocky bastard. Although you seemed to have made progress in your lifting, your attitude seems to still be in the maturity stone age.
Don’t ask about nutrition and then when people give you advice ridicule them, especially when you seem to have nearly no real knowledge on the subject. And like others have said, unless you compete in bodybuilding and truly live the bodybuilding lifestyle, you really aren’t a bodybuilder.
Even if you were a bodybuilder, that doesn’t make you a foremost expert in training and nutrition. Quite frankly, from your posts, your knowledge on nutrition is as extensive as “I need to eat lots of protein and lots of calories to build strong muscles.”
Although, that is true, its not as simple as that and any beginner bodybuilding nutrition article can tell you as much.

Did i ask about nutrtion? Did you even read the topic? I said dont you think this is a high calorie breakfast, i did not say “Oh what should i do to improve my eating habits”. Damn people seem to completely not read the post and just skip to the end of the fuckin page and know nothing about whats going on.
No knowledge on the subject? So your sideing with a dude who says that calories arent needed to build muscle? Yet idk what im talking about. Your just as ignorant as he is.
How good your breakfast is depends on what you do, the rest of the day and what you eat the rest of the day. If your eating correctly throughout the day then it is not the best breakfast and you may want to rethink going against what 300 is recommending.
I say this because it’s high extremely high in fat which if you continue to eat carbs through out the day will just add to the calorie count. You don’t weigh that much and your young so your going to improve regardless of what you do for a little while but if you want to excel, you have to use excellent advice.
You seem to have got caught up in his harsh words in the beginning and totally over looked what he’s saying. You also have to look at what he’s training to do versus you.
Theres a 100lbs difference between you guys so his goals are probably different then yours. His seems to be more towards serious into the sport of bodybuilding while yours are more about building your body.

surely by focusing on protein, fat and carb intake it doesnt all of a sudden mean you’re not taking in calories. if you take in 6000 calories but it’s all 100% from fat, how in the world is that going to help you build muscle?
I even it all out, not just from fat. Im taking in around 3800 calories a day. 250g of protein and idk how many carbs (Guessing alot cause i eat around 4-5 bowls of pasta a day), and healthy fats, so its pretty evenly distributed throughout the body.
I know you need protein carbs lipids and fats those are all essential for building muscle however, we also need… calories, cause without them how is the body going to distribute protein carbs lipids and fats around the body with no energy to do it?

i agree. ultimately i feel you can’t have one with the other it just comes down to the person on how they prioritise it. but you simply can’t just ignore the breakdown in terms of protein, carbs and fats, which i felt most opposing you got the impression you were based on the quote i posted above
lipids = fats btw…

Who knew!
Fuck all this arguing, open up another thread where you can PMS all over the place.
This thread is about your (crappy) breakfast.
Dunk in some eggs, oatmeal and milk, some veggies/fruit and you’ll be set.
There.
I could sort of take the topic seriously until the picture was posted.

“I know you need protein carbs lipids and fats those are all essential”
Why did you start this thread? What did you hope to learn?

If I were you i’d trade a bit of pb for 25g of whey + 6egg white
if you can switch the bagel for oat thats even better.
you guys dont separate carbs from fats ?[/quote]
your not being serious about the fat+carbs meals right?
Just to copy and paste CT’s answer to some random persons question:
Funny that isnt it
It seems like a big consensus is that like 1500kcal is right for breakfast. That seems crazy high to me. Taking in 3500 or so calories is pretty damn easy without having over a third of it first thing in the morning.
The point is:
Your protein intake should stay the same…“cutting” or “bulking”…HIGH
To gain muscle you need an excess of calories. To lose fat you need a deficit of calories. The cleaner your diet is the cleaner the results will be for both times.
When I first started lifting I got a six-pack by eating w.e I wanted but keeping my calories bellow 2200-2000 per day. I could of probably cut the time down if my food intake would of been “cleaner” but I was new to the whole diet thing.

If I want to stay lean, then I avoid C+F combinations. Bulking, not so much.

yes but why exactly?. If you are eating bellow maintenance then it doesn’t even matter. I mean if you are eating pizza which has high sat fat and high amounts of white flour I could understand. but having nuts and an apple or peanut butter with oats while eating bellow maintenance will get you lean I believe.
The whole F+C meals criteria is a bit over-rated I think. The only reason why one should follow it in my opinion would be because some people tent to go overboard on the calories when eating F+C meals.
